Just booked my flights over for the game; can't wait.

Was there in 2009 for Bennett's first game in charge as coach and I'll be there for Steve Price's first game as a full time head coach.

Probably why they're turning it into a training camp as well.

Great to have them in town and hope you have a good stay St.L

Both teams are going to be doing a heap of stuff which is great. Roosters let us down when they came out but St's have always been great ambassadors and carried out lots of coaching and profile raising. With our 2012 push to develop a primary school comp hopefully the teams can get along to the targetted schools and get the kids interested in playing.

I have always loved Brad Fittler as a player, and since becoming one, a commentator too, but I lost a lot of respect for him when he -as coach- brought the Roosters to Perth a couple of years ago.

Deciding to play golf instead of attend some important promotional gigs being one thing that left a sour taste in my mouth.

The WA Rugby League is pleased to announce the pre season Trial Game between the St George Illawarra Dragons and North Queensland Cowboys has been confirmed for Saturday, 11 February 2012.
It will be held at NIB Stadium at 7.00pm and will be preceded with a curtain raiser between the WA Reds and North Sydney, in the opening round of the SG Ball under 18 Competition.
It will be the third time the Dragons have staged a pres season game in Perth in 4 years and the first appearance in WA of the Cowboys.
The total squad for the Cowboys is expected as they get into town on the Monday prior and use the trip to the west as a major camp in their 2012 pres season campaign.
The game is another step forward for WA Rugby League in growing the exposure of the game in the state as part of their quest for an NRL team in the coming years.

NRL TRIAL MATCH
St George Illawarra Dragons V North Queensland Cowboys
Saturday 11th February 2012
2011 NRL top eight finalists the St George Illawarra Dragons and the North Queensland Cowboys will clash in an important Rugby League trial match at nib Stadium on Saturday night, 11th February 2012.
The NRL pre-season trial match will be the highlight of a six-day camp for the Cowboys in Western Australia and will be a key feature in both team’s preparations for the 2012 NRL season.
"There is plenty of interest in the NRL in Western Australia and I’m sure we’ll get a big crowd turn up for the clash with the Dragons," Cowboys General Manager – Football Peter Parr said.
nib Stadium CEO Peter Bauchop said, "There is certainly a big appetite for Rugby League in Perth and we are very pleased to host both the Dragons and the Cowboys who are both first class teams. This will be a really thrilling match and we can’t encourage fans enough to get down to the ground on match day and support not only these two outstanding teams, but also the game of Rugby League in Perth!"
Both clubs are set to bring full strength squads to Perth including some of Rugby League's biggest State of Origin and International stars such as the Dragon’s Jamie Soward, Ben Creagh, Matt Cooper, Beau Scott, Jason Nightingale, Ben Hornby, Dean Young, Matt Fien and Brett Morris; And North Queensland Cowboys’ Johnathon Thurston, Matt Scott, Matt Bowen, Brent Tate, Kalifa Faifai Loa and Dallas Johnson.
The curtain raiser to the big match will see the WA Reds Under 18 SG Ball team open their season against the visiting North Sydney Bears.
