tonight just shows how much this guy is not up to rep footy.

players like kimmorley & orford are running their teams pretty much on their own

meanwhile wallace has a superstar in lockyer outside of him and nsw selectors think that he is worthy of nsw selection. - however when locky is out he is ordinary - no were near the quality of player as kimmorley or orford

I don't know why people continue to say Wallace is ordinary without Lockyer. The reason why Wallace was chosen for Origin last year is because he was great and winning games for Brisbane when Lockyer was out injured.

Wallace was good last night. He ran the ball alot more and broke the line but no one was backing him up.

Wallace was the best player in a broncos jersey last night. How many times did he find himself in a gap with absolutely no support players.

Dont know if you've watched the Broncs in the last 2 years but Lockyer does not dominate the play the way he used to.

I will agree he was not up to origin. His form hasnt warranted it. Not to mention he wasnt fit for either game.

Wallace was sh*t in Origin, he knows it, we know it and he was dumped. He tried and failed, but at least he tried.

I don't think lame arse posts on a forum are going to make him feel any worse, or play any better, than getting dumped from the NSW halfback role.

Brisbane have bigger problems than Peter Wallace, and Origin 2010 is a long way away.

Wallace has joined the rapidly growing "Former NSW halfback club" ... loaded with the responsibility of guiding a limping race horse to a Melbourne Cup win and shot when (shock horror) he doesn't quite make it.

To continue this analogy ... NSW's halfback problems will continue as long as the selectors and fans continue riding their halfbacks and whipping like jockeys on speed.

... and who will be NSW halfback in Game One next year ... you can bet his initials won't be BK. BK will be joining the aforementioned club.

could it be because kimmorley and orford are like 10 yrs older then him and have 10 more years of experience? lockyer does jack crap outside of wallace so its not the lockyer thing..its just lockyers presence and not his actual game

Wallace won't play for NSW again in the short term. Wolfman was worse than Wallace though, atleast Wallace defended ok

If Kimmorly is fit and still playing he will be picked champ, put your house on it.

That's what people said after Game III 2007 when he came in for the "dead rubber" and played OK.

Game I 2008 - Peter Wallace makes his debut, we win, has a good game (probably the only origin he's played 100% fit) and everybody is happy.

If this years form continues into next year the origin halves should be
6. Soward
7. Kimmorely

An old head, and young blood gaining experience. 2011 is when they should start looking at replacing Kimmorely, not next year. Wallace was never going to be a success at halfback, his kicking is too inconsistent and he isn't all that creative in general play. He is a player that may be able to fill a utility role on the bench in coming years, but there are others who'd be more qualified.

So you are confidently predicting what the NSW selectors will do next year ... good luck with that!

I'm pretty sure they've been using paper/rock/scissors for the past four years ... but please ... go ahead and bet your house.

Mate he played well in a dominant NSW side and quite frankly there is noone else currently playing who has proven themselves up to the task of the NSW #7 jumper. The selectors simply have no other options.

Kimmorley was pretty average, sure he was better than a subdued Wallace but that isn't saying much.

Barrett was the pick of the bunch.

NSW problem is they have too many players to choose from ... there are several NSW halfbacks totally capable of making it in Origin, Wallace included. And that's your problem. The selectors prefer swapsy over stability.

What does a halfback need? Combination, stability, understanding of the players around him. The NSW selectors have NOT given this to any NSW halfback for enough time.

Wallace is a dud if he has to run a side by himself
Pearce is a kick merchant who is simply not ready to move up to that level
Mullen is not a halfback even though his club coach likes to think otherwise
Orford...well not much else really needs to be said there

This leaves Kimmorly or Hornby as the only real options for NSW. If Ennis is picked at hooker then Kimmorly is the logical choice given their outstanding club combination.
