SINNER

PLAYERS’ union boss Ian Prendergast has jumped on board with NRL CEO Todd Greenberg and his social media campaign #NRLtalkthegameup. This is the same bloke who talked up a players’ strike last season and squeezed the game for every penny it had in the collective bargaining negotiations, forcing the NRL to apply for a $30 million bank loan in order to do a deal with the players.

Someone showed me his "Sinner" comments from today's paper. He reckons the problems with crowds for last Thursday night and the 6pm Friday game was the stadiums they were played in. Reckons play them in "boutique" stadiums it is all hunky dory.

Ignores the fact it is the day, and the time of day, that make the crowds so poor, and the 6pm Friday game is caused by his employer due to Foxtel's demand for a game in that timeslot. F'knuckle

Think he was more looking at the appearance for the code in relation to a tv audience. 12000 at Belmore would have looked far better than 12000 at the Olympic stadium.

Great point.

This f**kstick was happy with the 6pm game when first announced now he bags it.

Tell us why we have the silly slot in the first place Rothfeldsman.

If it was played at Belmore there would have been 6000 people there. You know how hard it is to get to al lot of these suburban grounds at that time of day/week?

I'd say it would be around 12000. We differ. The suburban grounds is not a cavernous experience like the Olympic stadium. It's a boutique ground which has its own attraction . We differ on the crowd attracting potential of a ground like Belmore. It's moreover a cultural attraction that gets the fans in to a ground like Belmore. With respect I think you have underestimated that factor.

At the cost of junior development, which is the future of our game.
Prendergast is a fumbler at and nothing would please him more than to bankrupt our game.
He's a Trojan horse as far as I'm concerned

there's a reason people don't want to talk to those pricks and it wouldn't matter if they did either

it's funny how they've got their knickers in a knot about Greenberg when he didn't name any journalists or even mention journalists

Greenberg referred to the 'crisis merchants' and these scumbags have obviously figured out it was them because they know that is exactly what they are

Whenever these ‘journos’ get questioned on their negativity to the game, they take the ‘accessibility’ angle.
As old mate on twitter mentioned, the public can access thoughts and feelings of players on many different platforms including directly on social media. Why the f**k would players want to give access to these parasites in a dying medium? And why would we as consumers want to access content in this way?
Wake the f**k up!
As Ivan would say, get on the bus or get left behind.
