QLD Residents Team Prediction 2017

Would like to see everyones thoughts on who should be in the QLD Residents this year. Its hard to say if JB will pick based on form or incumbents so I've gone a mixture of both.

For me its:

4. Tom Opacic (Redcliffe)
5. Gideon Gela-Mosby (Pride)

8. Braden Uele (Cutters)
9. Mitchell Cronin (Wynnum)
10. Matt Lodge (Redcliffe)
11. Jaydn Su'a (Souths)
12. Aaron Whitchurch (Redcliffe)
13. Jack Svendsen (Easts)

14. Sam Hoare (Blackhawks)
15. Luke Page (Burleigh)
16. Mitchell Frie (Wynnum)

Luke Page & Justin Olam will likely be playing for PNG.

Su'a will be picked for QLD U20 instead.

Lodge should never be picked for a QLD side.

You haven't been watching if you think Mitchell Frei deserves to be there. Making plenty of tackles but just seems to be going through the motions at times. Cronin could possibly justify a place.

I think Braden Uele will be a top NRL prop in a few years. He's big, fairly quick, good on his feet and tough.

Krys Freeman from the Capras is as good as any hooker going around.

I only think Frie gets the nod because of links with JB. Cronin also from being in the side last year. when you have a frontrower nearly leading the comp in tries scored you cant go past Braden Uele being the best prop in the comp at the moment.

Say what you will about his off field drama but on the park Matt Lodge has been up there with the best. Plays minutes and great with the ball in hand.
