Ah the old poor old Queensland story about how the folk of the north are the victims in life and everyone is against them.

The arrogance of Queensland during Origin is astounding.

Lets be honest. If NSW had the same dominance Qld have had in the last 10 years they would be screaming about how origin is dead north of the border and we would be changing eligibility rules even further to give them a chance.

Origin is strong because NSW people support their team win or lose.

Agreed. Origin would be dead if NSW ever won more than 5 series in a row. It survives via QLD's shoulder chip...

They'd be flat out getting 30k to Suncorp and the huge myth around "sticking solid" to certain players would be completely blown out of the water.

Haha qld labelling nsw is arrogant is one of the most hypocritical things I have ever seen.

Growing up in NZ I always viewed QLD as being arrogant, and NSW not (despite most kiwis around me supporting QLD). This is mainly due to QLD being led by Wally Lewis who carried himself with more arrogance than any other sportsperson I've ever seen. Throw in more wankers like Shearer, Hancock, Vautin, Kerrod Walters and co. and they were very easy to hate.

    Hah.
Why so much butthurt over the hand grenade?
And if so, why did it take that many years for QLD to begin their run?

Oh waittttt, they didnt use it as inspiration. It took a combo of f**king immortals to come together and rip NSW a new asshole.

    f**k OFF QLD.

If the situation were reversed Origin would be dead, not just north of the border. It was on life support in 2005 when Queensland lost for the 3rd time running (and 4th running without winning). It depends for its very existence on Queensland dominating.

I'm surprised they're still upset about this when they've got the post series ceremony right there.

Then again, I don't think they can compete with Andrew "Tony Robbins" Johns. How about that motivational speech to Beau Scott ahead of Game II 2010? It was so moving, even Timana Tahu had tears in his eyes...

Correct, and from memory, if they lost in 06 they were going to sweep the whole joint out. Bet they are thanking their lucky stars hodgo passed to no one!!

Game II 06 was the deadline, with Lockyer, Price & Civoniceiva on notice. Queensland won 30-6, with Lockyer taking Man of the Match honours.

The decider was destined to be remembered for some of the worst refereeing decisions, until Clinton Schifcofske threw a desperate offload that was accepted by JT who put Tate into the clear. Tate's put-down maybe the longest 5 seconds of my life, I was having Chris Walker circa 2000 flashbacks.

A couple of moments that are forgotten is that Tahu went down with an injury, pitting Brent Tate against Steve Menzies which was a total mismatch. The other was the Wesser lost ball in the dying stages which would have been fine if the referees didn't change the interpretation mid-year due to an incident in New Zealand where Shannon McDonnell (or was it Fitzhenry?) got injured.
