Big Daryl ramped up the octaves but, from memory, he wasn't shouting (or screaming) as the commentator was yesterday.
True - he was great though - cuts a sad figure these days with Alzheimers :(

Yeah solid as a rock which is just what we need out there

Last Thursday night Kevin Walters had Mybe ahead of DCE so hoping he still has those thoughts !! Although if he is in the frame would guess he will be fired up for a big one this weekend

Yeah, strange DCE hasn't been mentioned, guess it's because they're looking at a 6 and someone who gels with Cronk? Or is he just on the outer, he's been very good this year

Morgan will play in 6 surely, he's f**king good

On the outer with all the a storm boys and his style of play not fitting in with theirs apparently

Meninga said in an interview not long ago that DCE not fitting into the team in 2014 had a lot to do with his coaching

Hodges last night on fox said something along the lines of Cronk and Smith being very direct players and everyone knows what they are doing, DCE a bit more off the cuff with the ability to skip outside his man easily but the guys outside were deers in the headlights coz they hadn't played with a guy like that and didn't know what to do.

Really impressed by Manly this week. Not good for us, especially with our Perth track record.

End of the day to make the 8, let alone be a finals contender, you have to beat some in form, quality teams, away from home. So we need to embrace the challenge rather than hope for an easy draw etc.

I'll be tipping Manly fer sure tho haha.

The law of averages has to come into effect sometime as well. We've lost eight in Perth, going all the way back to the Western Reds days.

Are we never going to win in Perth? I doubt that. We have the majority of fans there too.

Awesome memories from the days of Big Darrell. Pre-Warriors, it was such an important stepping-stone to getting our club team in the big time.

I can hear Graham Hughes too, he did some pivotal Winfield Cup years ('88-'91), especially semi-finals shown live for the first time in NZ.

1991 was an oustanding year, there was no turning back for the Warriors after that. Tremendously exciting football, live and prime-time. Check out highlights of Manly v Canberra semi if you want to see what it was like, the running-game was big at that time. Unstructured, they'd score tries from all over the joint.
