Surprised Robbo didn't give him a chunk of SBW and Mini's salary. Couldn't be a lack of coin seeing him leave and we know that Robbo rates him exceptionally highly.

Remi Casty leaves Sydney Roosters to return to Catalans

by Ian Laybourn

LONDON: Sydney Roosters prop Remi Casty will cut short his NRL experience after just one season and return to Super League club the Catalan Dragons next year.

The 29-year-old international left the French club at the end of the 2013 World Cup to link up with former Dragons coach Trent Robinson at the Roosters on a two-year contract.

However, Casty has been tempted back to Perpignan by the offer of a four-year deal and the Catalan club came to an agreement with the Roosters to secure his release in time to play in the club's 10th season in Super League.

"It was a tough decision to leave the NRL, but I couldn't refuse the contract offered by the Dragons," said Casty, who has won 19 caps for France.

"The club has great ambitions for next year, the 10th season of the Dragons in the Super League, and it's great to be back and to be a part of that.

"To play in the NRL is something I've always wanted to do since I started playing rugby, but I also always dreamed to lift a trophy with the Dragons.

"I'm really proud to come back in my club.

"The Dragons are playing really well in the play-offs and I hope they can reach their first Super League Grand Final. I'll be their first fan on Thursday night."

Casty made 155 Super League appearances before joining the Roosters and was named in the 2012 Dream Team, but made just nine NRL appearances in 2014.

Casty is set to become the Catalans' third recruit from the NRL.

Centre Willie Tonga is joining the club from Parramatta on a two-year contract and the Dragons are waiting for the go-ahead to register exiled 2010 Dally M medal winner Todd Carney, who has agreed a three-year deal.

The Rugby Football League's board of directors met on Monday night to discuss Carney's position and are expected to announce the result of their deliberations on Tuesday.

Spoton, I daresay much of that money will go on Ferguson and in re-signing players already at the club. We have a lot of guys coming off contract at the end of 2015 who are probably of higher priority to re-sign than Remi.

Tongue in cheek bro, tongue in cheek. As I hope your above post is otherwise you've missed the joke.
