The Steelers and NFL have lost one of the most influential, powerful and respected men to have ever been involved in the game.

Very sad to hear of it this morning. Great man, leaves a great legacy. Pittsburgh and the NFL are poorer without him.

Reading these obits just shows how loved and respected he was league wide.

Very sad news... an absolute foundation piece of the current league.

The Rooney family and the Steelers were an adversary of Al Davis and the Raiders through the decades...

But it's amazing how far ahead of the curve Dan Rooney and Al Davis were in minority hirings.
