Guy Walter passes away

Champion trainer Guy Walter has passed away after suffering a suspected heart attack.

Walter was at home when he became ill earlier on Thursday morning.

The trainer saddled up Streama to win last Saturday’s Group I Doomben Cup and is regarded as one of the greatest horseman to hold a training licence in Australian turf history.

I can't believe it!!

He only just saddled up Streama on Saturday.

Great horseman and trainer and seemed a better bloke. A master if placing his horses and having them spot on for the day.
