McGregor had already stated that changing the team isnt the answer.
Ok so what is the answer supercoach. Keep doing the same thing and hope it gets better. Keep playing McCrone and hope his kicking game clicks just once. Keep playing injured/or out of form playerscwith the hope they will come good. Keep selecting the same 17 week in week out and hope they finally click.
Is this your supercoach reasoning? Or are you just too arrogant to admit you are wrong?
Still the question remains: what is the answer? Please enlighten us.

Tomorrows team list should contain some players making their debut but I have no doubt we will just get a cut and paste barring JDB (suspended).
Shame really, shame shame shame!

If ever there was a time to blood dufty here it is. Use duges at right centre even if hes to believe its because of origin and he can ease back in.mann to half mccrone out sele to lock with lam and vaughn to start. If we need to carry milne for one more week incase of dufty losing the plot so be it. And blood a new prop its newcastle ffs

I am not expecting McCrone to be dropped. Why would Mary do that?? He has demonstrated a narrow vision when it comes to team selections before so why will he change now as it would be an admission of failure and when you have Doust not concerned about a 6m debt it appears that everything must be rosy in their eyes.

Competition - NRL Premiership Round 16 - Newcastle Knights v St George Illawarra Dragons - Saturday 25 June 2016, Hunter Stadium Broadmeadow NSW - Photographer Shane Myers :copyright: nrlphotos.com

St George Illawarra coach Paul McGregor has named a 22-man squad for the Alex McKinnon Cup against the Newcastle Knights at UOW Jubilee Oval, Kogarah on Sunday, June 25.

The Dragons and Knights will play for the Alex McKinnon Cup for the third-consecutive season after the now 25-year-old's career was tragically cut short in 2014.

The Dragons have won both matches for the Cup so far, including their 30-18 win in Newcastle in Round 16, 2016.

McKinnon – who made his NRL debut at the Dragons in 2011 before moving to the Knights – was excited to return to UOW Jubilee Oval for the first time since his playing days.

"The Dragons have a lot of guys who were working there when I was still there so I’m pretty excited to go back and see them," McKinnon said.

"Going to Kogarah is something that I used to do all the time so it is unique that the [Alex McKinnon Cup] is in Kogarah this year."

Meanwhile, Josh Dugan has been named to return at fullback following State of Origin II, with Jason Nightingale shifting to the wing and Kalifa Faifai Loa dropping out of the squad.

NSW Origin forward Tyson Frizell has been named in the reserves alongside Euan Aitken (hamstring) who may make his potential return after a six-week layoff.

Prop Paul Vaughan will also celebrate his 100th NRL game against the Knights, while Jack de Belin's selection is dependent on how he fares at the NRL judiciary on Tuesday evening.

If it wasn't so serious I would laugh at McCrone being selected.
A team can carry a player if say, he was the kicker, play him on wing.
How on earth can McIdiot keep on picking McCrone. A good halfback is what drives a team around.
That might work against the lower teams. We struggled against the tigers.
It'd going to be a long season.

FMD. McCrone.
I'm getting to the point where I might just watch the higlights so I don't have to cringe my way the watching him kick.

There is simply no remaining excuse to select McCrone. I can't believe the torment McGregor subjects us to. David Morrow said he believes Josh McCrone has done his dash in first grade, he said the same about Benji and he was right on both accounts. Mary obviously can't make the big calls and I am assuming it comes done to being mates with the players.

Alright, someone here has to bite the bullet and befriend McCrone.
Take him on a night out, make sure he has a good time, lots of drinks.
Then take him home, lay him on your couch, bring in your little doggy.....and a camera.

At this stage it's the only way we will get rid of him for a few months.
