The CT Wildcats came up trumps with an emphatic victory friday night in NYC. They now go on to their 5th grand final in a row, with a chance of back-to-back championships.
The final score was 42-18.
The game started pretty tight and the greasy surface made handling tricky. The Cats dropped the ball over the line on their first set and it looked like they were ready to roll. However some good defence and strong running got the Warriors into the game and they struck first. A tight 30 minutes then followed, with the warriors going up 14-6 after 30 minutes. However with 10 minutes to go in the first the momentum of the whole game quickly changed when the Cats dotted down twice to end the half up 18-14.
The second half started with a bang for the Cats as they dotted down again almost immediately. After that there was no looking back, with the Cats dotting down 4 more tries to the Warriors 1. The warriors played tough to the end but the cats fitness and superior playmakers came to the fore to ensure the win. The warriors were also very gracious in defeat and ceo Adam Hamon came over and congratulated the Cats and ensured the bad blood of this past season is firmly dead and buried...
The game was a hard hitting but pretty clean affair, which was superbly refereed by Nuiy, with help from Bobo, they both deserve great credit for keeping everybody honest and the game flowing.
