Players to look out for.

Maipele Morseau - Future star, blistering speed
Kirisome Avua'a - Oz schoolboy rep in Onion, complete package apparently
Hershal Gideon - Storm had HUGE wraps on him 2 years ago, may have struggled with the transition last year to a much higher standard of football but the fact he is starting says he may deliver on the wraps.

Melbourne Belle may be able to fill you in on some of the other local boys

Interesting that Cam Hansen in only 18th man.

Not familiar with many of the local boys games as I didn't see any of the junior comp last season.
I think I have said it here before but Young Tonumaipea is going to be a star if he keeps working hard and wont be surprised to see him get a few Toyota Cup games this season.

Talalupelele Titi is also another great player who should go well.

I will check with my younger brother and see what he says about the other local boys as he trains with them.

Not really that surprised Noa. I never really got why everyone was all over him. In my opinion he isn't that great, he is a decent player but when he played in the VRL for the Rams he just cashed in on being in a very dominate team who pretty much carved everyone.

I figured as much.

Be interesting to see if he goes back to AFL and how far he goes.

That's a great start by the guys.
I had a look a next week's draw and its a home game for us against Central Coast at a venue to be announced.
Does anyone know where they will be playing?

New face in the team, another local boy, plays for Altona. Not a bad player and trains well.

32-16 final score to the Mighty Storm

Storm hammered themselves with penalties and dropped ball. Lack a real number 7, Ben Hampton must be injured.

-Uiti Baker was MOM, big boy runs with purpose,
-Maipele Morseu was quiet in the first half but showed some real class in the second, some beuatiful skills to give Storm the go-ahead try
- Mahe Fonua scored 4 tries and had some really nice touches, got a future.
- Mike Che-Kam showed glimpses of huge potential, gave away a few stupid penalties though.

Just how much time to do you spend around the VRL, melbourne belle?
Not much really not anymore anyway. I use to help out at the Altona Roosters a lot, mainly because my dad use to coach and my brothers and cousins and uncles have played for them through out the years. Didn't really have much to do with any football last year as my dad passed away the year before and my younger brother was injured for the whole season.

I only know about some of these kids because I have seen them play with or against my brother, or my dad or older brother has coached them in the past.
