Should Todd Carney be allowed back in the NRL?

He'll be partnering Pearce at Newcastle before you can blink if Ponga doesn't play out

His form off the field suggests he will be much better rooting in pub dunnies, punching sheilas and terrorising children with Jet fuel, Sam and Lodgey at Waynes World. The home for crims and cover ups. Prepares them for gaol.

Todd Carney is a former Dally M Medal winner (in 2010). He is obviously a player with great talent. Unfortunately he is an alcoholic and cannot realise his potential. That is why he has been sacked by every club he has played with in Australia, France and the U.K. (who all said when they signed him that they were giving him another chance).
Thanks for giving us these widely known facts about Carney... Do you have any other juicy bits of information that are commonly known to share? Have you told us how the sky is blue yet?

Is the OP asking this for Toddy as a player, or in a managerial role such as player welfare officer, head of players union, CEO or on the commission board?

I think he should be welcomed back and not only that, but he should also be encouraged to misbehave. He could be promoted as a wrestling style heel. Any publicity is good publicity and rugby league needs more personalities.

of course he should if a club wants him. He'd be subject to the code of conduct again & should he step out of line again , he'll have his contract torn up again.

if i were a club however , I wouldn't be speding too much on him , he is a risk. Maybe as an incentive to keep out of trouble , a portion of his payments could be put aside as a bond that he gets back at the end of his contract should there be no mis behaviour.

:joy: When did Joel win the Dally M award or play rep footy?

Joel played for the Kangaroos at the 2008 World Cup. He was the one who gave away the penalty try when he took Hohaia out who was chasing a kick and would've scored.

He also outplayed GI in Origin 3 of the 2008 Origin series.

Carney was still a better player though.
