Unbelievable really. One of my favourite sporting events is becoming farcical at a rate of knots.

Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay will host one game each, as a way to acknowledge the 100th year anniversary of the event where Uruguay held it in 1930. Then it moves to Spain, Portugal and Morocco where they will hold the other 101 games. The hosting of the 2030 world cup will become official at a FIFA congress next year.

Six countries- three continents.

And the AFC has already backed the Saudi's, before any othee potential bids. Seems like a repeat of Qatar all over again.
