Seems the nsw police investigation is a bit of a mixed bag. The very big positive is they found no evidence of match fixing. Incredibly important as fans and sponsors need to know that they are supporting a fair game, not a rigged one.

On the not so good side they did seemingly find other dirt that is going on.

Greenberg yet to comment on the dirt uncovered

The Strike Force Nuralda investigation found crime figures supplied players with prostitutes and cocaine and encouraged them to gamble to get 'inside' information for betting on NRL games, but failed to uncover any evidence of match fixing relating to three matches in 2015 and one in 2016.

In a statement released by the NRL this morning, Greenberg chose not to acknowledge NSW Police's findings around prostitutes and gambling.

Seems they make noise to make people nervous and make a wrong move

But a lot of people are getting used to this when they have insuffient evidence

Otherwise they would just book them

Lol all sport with gambling attached has players involved with the underworld ( do a bit of research on AFl & the same problems exist)
Most sportsmen are not real bright .
They see nothing wrong with having Crim friends .

Brett Stewart has won two defamation cases now.
Matai, one.

Greenburg needs to pace the hall up and down all night...the hardest thing he'll ever do will be telling the sensationalism media to FO.

Fit young men with money and time on their hands involved with gambling and prostitutes?

I don't believe it. Surely they all live like monks.

I thought it is as the police’s job to have like, you know, evidence and stuff in order to start throwing about slanderous claims about an entire playing group.

The RLPA should sue the police for defamation. Clearly if there was any actual proof of wrongdoing there would be charges laid

Pretty sure every branch of the law has an addendum attached relating to Rugby League players.

Innocent until proven guilty - unless your a Rugby League player
