....as the season comes closer and closer so does the Charity Shield and unfortunately, we play you girls only once in the season as we have been pooled together.

I for one think your a team on the slide, and we are on the rise.

Whats it like to be a Illawarra socks fan?

No premierships.
No songs.
And a right bunch of slappers.

BRING ON THE SHIELD !!!!!!!

I like what Souths have done to get back in the comp Bunny Boy. 20 premierships since 1908 while Saints have 15 premierships since 1921 (all grand finals wins btw).

For the future? May the best team win... atm its the mighty Dragons.
2003
Charity Shield: Saints won 28-10
Round 11: Saints won 18-16
Round 15: Saints won 34-20

Thats quite a long shadow. 8)

Who are these Saints you talk of Mr Willow? In recent memory I have no recollection of the St George Illawarra Socks winning any sort of Premiership.

As for Round 11....dont even go there. Talk about poor refereeing.

And yes 20-0...huge shadow.

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhh!!!
It's not fair Souths were kicked out!
20000 strong marching in the street. Screaming, crying, raging.
F' all turning up to games to watch a flailing relic choke again.
Take the league to court and force themselves to come back in, and bring back the bye.
It's so fitting it's called the charity shield...Souths are a f**king charity case.
Oh but you guys have heaps of lame arse songs your grandads sang back when you won games.
If everybody who had a "I'm a Souths whinger, and we'll be back" sticker turned up to games, Souths would be the richest club in the league.
"In geaorge we trust, then in his back we will thrust."
It's amusing to hear Souths supporters say we are the socks and we have no history anymore...history is all you can cling to. To quote the Sex Pistols...
"Noooooooooooo Future, Noooooooooooooo future, noooooooo future for you!"
Add that to your repitoire of songs you sorry sack of clowns.

Now tell us what you really think, Drake...

An appropriate song for Souths fasns would be the old Celitc & Liverpool standard, "You'll Never Walk Alone":

You'll neeeeeeever get a job!!

Cheers,
Ben S.

 @ centrelink rejects.

Every single person in the Burrow (more than 20, we have 100 paid members) is very succesful at what they do, and know how to spell. Cant say that for the Socks fans.

Rule 1: When criticising people's spelling, make sure you proof read your own posts very hard!

You have to pay??

20 or 100, it makes not a jot of difference to me, they're both still insignificant numbers...

Very apt, because Souths are an insignificant team.

Ben S.

I seem to remember the Sour Sydney fans were this annoying before the start of the 2003 season too.

Don't worry, they all disappeared by Round 6.

I remember George Piggins trying to de-rail the Charity Shield.

So much for tradition... and so much for all the St George supporters who marched to have Souths reinstated.... and so much for supporting Rugby League.

Well dahhh, yes you are on the rise because souths have gone so low and dug a grave as deep as they can, the only way is up. And how are you finding it when you don't even have enough people to hold up 'The Burrow' sign.........funniest picture I have seen was in round 5 or 6 when they showed 6 souths supporters and they called it the Army.       Stop posting utter rubbish because we can all tell you are in denial.

Its possible that Souths are indeed on the rise. After all, they have signed Terry Hill and Adam McDougall. Two young, vibrant, red-hot talents.
