This weeks Big League has its 26 round tally of statistics.

Top pointscorers:
Luke Covell - 11th - 130 (El Masri top 270)

Top goalkickers:
Luke Covell - 9th - 57 goals 80% ( El Masri top 119 88%)

Top tryscorers:
John Wilson - 9th - 16 (Wesser top 24)

Top tacklers:
Anthony Laffranchi - 7th - 703
Mark ONeill - 10th - 686 (Nutely top 871; Sattler was 6th with 720)

Daniel Fitzhenry made the lists in top Dummy half runners and Top try assists; John Wilson and Anthony Laffranchi were in the Top intercepts lists; and Ben Galea and Darren Senter in the top Most kicks charged down.

But needless to say we had nobody in critical categories like Line Breaks, Offloads, Kicks.

We all remember that Joel Caine was leading pointscorer in 2001 as well

That was 2000. And Caine only nudged ahead of Mat Rogers at the very end of the season, plus the Origin period didn't help Rogers either.

yeah, he didn't do especially well. I think he had about 212 points or so compared to this years 270 and I think last year was even more then that.

Still it was a bloody good effort for Caine to become the top point scorer in the NRL for season 2000. Especially considering the Wests Tigers never made the finals!

You ran second for most of the year though.
