Souths Game Controversy

Controversy has aroused about the golden point in the Souths vs Wests game. In the first half of the golden point match, the time keepers let the game go for 8 minutes instead of the offical 8 minutes. This mistake has left Tim Sheens fuming.

I was at the game and didn't even know of this error until I heard it on the radio.

they cant take the points now, its not souths fault the ref stuffed up, we played under identical circumstances & souths dealt with them slightly better

Their not gonna take the points off souths. Certain officials may well lose their J.O.B over this they say. Like bootlace has said, the conditions were the same for both sides so it didnt affect the outcome of the game really although it did affect the flow of the game for sure.
