It sure would. It would be sickening.
Sounds like the mid 90’s, that turned out well.
But it would be very exciting.
BA claimed on TripleM that we have 10 roster spots available for next year. I wonder which 3 or 4 have been extended that haven't been announced as yet.
Perhaps all these guys in the Development List actually signed two year deals. One year in the Development List and one year in the Top 30?
We're allowed to pay player 27-30 only $80k per year or something aren't we? I can't see anyone currently inside our Top 30 besides maybe Niukore (potentially Davis) who would bother for $80k, so it's a good use of those bottom 4 spots in 2019 if that's what we've done.
This is what I think is most likely. The following dudes might be top 30 next year:
Plus possibly Kaufusi as well. I doubt Schneider or Dylan Brown or any of the Flegg graduates will be worth top 30 next year but one never knoweth. There will be a few boys to fit into the rookie list. Just for kids born in '98 (no longer eligible for Flegg in 2019) we have:
Keppie (reportedly signed elsewhere)
as blokes with a chance of scoring a rookie contract. I suspect Brown and Schneider could join them sooner rather than later, though both are still eligible for Flegg until 2020. But Jaeman Salmon is still eligible for Flegg next year and he is on a full time (rookie) contract. Kaufusi is eligible for Flegg next year as well and he's currently playing for Wenty, so you'd think he will be at least in the development squad in 2019, if he isn't already.
That's the minimum ($72500 next year).
I believe development/rookie contracts can be no bigger than $60k
When you refer to Rookie list, is this the Development List or players 27-30?
I presume someone like Salmon would be something like $70k, $105k, $150k for his 3 year deal.
Yeah the same thing. I just use different terminology so it reads better than repeating the same terms over and over. I'm aware it can lead to confusion but I thrive on that shit.
Edit: Scott’s not signed for next year.
I guess I could remove him from 2018, but he’s surely still on the books and still taking a top 30 spot.
Surely the only reason he retired was to free up a top 30 spot??
how can he be if he is retired ?
He would be if his wage paid until today was enough to be in the top 30 paid for the year. And given we are pretty much 2/3 of the way through the season, it would have to be

So we (officially) have at least 17 merkins in next year's squad.
FFS Pou. The NRL have announced Lane.
Need to add Mennings too, until the end of time.
No hookers on contract next year? I'd assume Mahoney would be here. Anyone have an inkling as to what the plan is?
I assume Mahoney is contracted as well, and we might have already re-signed one (or even both) of the off contract top 30 hookers, but nothing is official.
Kritchard will be there. Hes a BA favourite and a great trainer which appears to be BAs most important KPI so far as a player being selected is concerned. Apart from that our best dummy half kicker, W Smith is secured for the foreseeable future.
I will seem like it when he is done here.
