Interesting they went for Wighton at 5/8th when he hasn't played there for a while. He had to be in the side somewhere though.

Mate - they are picked on ability and form.
You are right though plenty of kiwi talent on show on Sunday in both the NYC and NRL

Rowe will come into contention next year...probably be considered for a wing spot though.
I rate him .. although he played for aussie schoolboys - he is a kiwi through and through
But he has no chance on been selected at fullback ...not over RTS, ulugia and even Hiku (warriors poy).

Samisoni is gun....still rough around the edges
He is playing bigger minutes, but still need to be
He walked out/got shafted by the warriors - so will be interesting

Same as Vaivai - who apparently doesnt get along with Ackland.
So both do warrant strong consideration.

Even Akaoula is a gun - but still raw and will need to battle his way in nsw cup first.
He has plenty of athletiscm just need to increase workrate.

Raiders have chee-kam, who is a cert and baker will be considered.
Hawkins still has next year - I like him though.

Tigers have heaps of kiwis at Keebra park.
Richard Ene, Watson Heleta and Sa fifita will go well at nyc level.
Fafita could be a superstar.

Isn't RTS from Union or was he a convert to union after playing league then came back? He'll play for NZ next year surely.

I think he'll make the Benji transition in to the 6 jersey in a few years I just hope he has better luck with injuries.

Good side. I know Klemmer was injured, evidently he'll be recovered in time? Should be starting alongside Evans, really. I know VTK is an Australian schoolboy, is he still deciding his allegiance? I thought he would've been there, likewise Evander Cummins. Cornish, Keary or a versatile back might've been a better option to Hampton, but overall a good side.

Is there an unofficial agreement to leave out guys like Papalii and Cordner who already have a couple of seasons in first grade?

McGahan would've been in imo if he hadn't been injured....Harris will be in & Storm's Auva'a could be a bolter

Avuaa was in good form the past year but has represented Qld the past few years so he may be going that way.

Man.... that australian team is strong
Really a gun team and Clear favourites.

Unfortunately the kiwi team while it has some gun players..
Clearly it has been influence too much by John Ackland..Warriors coach.

The team has been filled with johns favourites from the warriors:
eg hukatai, bhana, likiliki, havili etc.

Some worthy of selection, some not ready yet.

The biggest omissions are:
Chee-Kam - Canberra - He must be injured
Ligi Sao - Warriors - One of the best props in NYC, close to top metre eater. Obviously fallen out with ackland. Will play FG for manly next year imo.

Patrick Vaivai - He will play FG for Newcastle next year, but was cut from the warriors for discilplinary reasons a few years back. Doesnt get along with ackland

Also think Uiti Baker from Canberra should of been selected.

Also FAR TOO MANY OUTSIDE BACKS...nearly all wingers

RTS has fullback sewn up, with incumbent ulugia on one wing.
Then they have hawkins, Hukatai, Fusitua and Hiku all wingers.
Also the JKs have a 5 men bench - yet they name one hooker.
Havili - while is too big as it is and cant play big minutes.
Which means we will end up seeing a complete makeshift hooker.

Josh Papalii situation is awkard. .. .he probably would still have played for junior kiwis.
If he could play queensland

Auvaa is a kiwi boy ...whilst he has played three years of 20s.
He still is not that good yet.

Kirisome x2 goes alrite from what I hear.
But Ruben rennie is the major signing...He is a gun - definately NRL potential.

Also heard you guys are going to sign Josh Minhinick (sp). He is also a gun outside back. fb/wing/ centre.
He plays for auckland Grammar rugby this year but has a league background and played in nz 16s last year.

He got some award for best back at the school league nationals.
I would imagine everybody would of been after him.

agree Baker should be there so should Chee Kam and Sao, Bhana deserves his spot, very strong defender but yeah Aus should win easy. Was Tia-Kilifi named on the Aus squad? NZ should have picked him?
