Qld Cup Redcliffe 24 def Wynnum Seagulls 20

A classic encounter. Wynnum led 8 - 6 at halftime but three costly mistakes early in the second half resulted in three Redcliffe tries and they led 20 - 8. Wynnum got back to 20 - 14 before a Dolphin penalty goal stretched it to an 8 point lead. Another Gulls try made it 22 - 20 then two field goals by Redcliffe gave them a four point break.

Wynnum had a couple of late chances but just couldn't get there.

What about the stink in the Chook Pen just after half time.

It was a good game I think both sides made a few costly errors which they have to get out of their game before semi finals.

A bit of luck going the way of the Dolphins once again.

A lot of errors comitted by both teams but the match certainly had a lot of action on and off field.

In Colts, the Seagulls scored right on full time to snatch a draw. The Dolphins simply had play out the set and they probably would have won but lost it and Wynnum managed to get away with a point.

In A Grade, Wynnum was simply too good for a disappointing Redcliffe outfit. Goose of the day goes to winger Craig Madders for stupidly kicking the ball out of the full (about 10-20m out from Redcliffe's line)giving the Seagulls the opportunity to score (which they did!!) before half time.
