Sending greetings from frigid Edmonds, Washington. After the sun in Southern California, visiting my fiancee's home town is... different haha.

I don't think I'll ever get used to seeing snow-capped mountains and massive lakes. We're missing out in Oz.

Just come to Canberra in winter mate.

Sure, the snow capped mountains would be hills in the Pacific Northwest. And the lake is brown and only looks big from the bits of it no one ever goes to. But still...

Haha, Americans are so amazed when I tell them that we don't really do mountains or lakes the way they have them here.

I don't miss Michigan weather either for day to day stuff but it can be relaxing, beautiful and serene.

Yeah, it's lovely to sit out with a glass of wine and watch the sunset over the Puget Sound, but bloody hell it's chilly in the morning!
