Tough match, regardless of how Manly are going...and they are going ok.

Assuming Luke is out-

1- Tuivasa-Sheck
2- Fusitua (I just think he is so much better on the wing)
3- Ayshford
4- Kata (I have misgivings about this selection)
5- Maumalo
6- Foran (assuming he's better- otherwise Hingano)
7- Johnson
8- Matulino
9- Roache
10- Lillyman
11- Thompson- actually, he's played better the last 2 weeks
12- Hoffman
13- Mannering

Res- Gavet, Lisone....

Do we put Tevaga on the bench? Or Cherrington?

Then, who takes the last spot?

Stamina - staying power - might be a problem in Perth, that last bench spot should be a forward for sure, and Vete you'd think. Or even, dare I say, the energy of Gubb. Bring him on in the second or back row and get him offloading! It works a treat in reserve grade

As Monty kept saying in the commentry if Foran is out our spine is mega light weight. For that reason id bring in Cherrington to hooker. Has more experiance than Roache plus Roache is not really match fit and wouldnt last 80

Unfortunately it appears to be a 'must win'. Look at the bleedin' table, we're in serious trouble, and that's coming off two straight wins.

Manly are in form, too.

I'll be watching this at the Canterbury Leagues Club, as our reserves are at Belmore. Can't wait, what's that classic '80s song again? Something about 'everyone working for the weekend'?

Cherrington comes in for his debut I'd say. Also I know its Ata's spot, but if Foran is out again I would love to see Lino given a chance. Just for my own curiosity to see how he handles first grade with a decent line up around him.

Vodafone Warriors young gun Nathaniel Roache has been named to start at hooker for Saturday night’s clash against the Manly Sea Eagles in Perth.

With regular No 9 Issac Luke ruled out after suffering a shoulder injury during last Friday’s win over the Bulldogs, Roache has been promoted from the bench.

He is one of two changes Vodafone Warriors coach Stephen Kearney has made to his starting line up ahead of what looms as the longest road trip in the NRL.

After missing his side’s round 16 win over the Bulldogs, Vodafone Warriors playmaker Kieran Foran has also been named to return in the halves.

“It’s obviously disappointing that Issac is unavailable for this game but Nate did a great job when he came on against the Bulldogs and this is a real opportunity for him,” Kearney said.

“While we were happy to get the win over the Bulldogs last week, there is still plenty of room for improvement.

“The Sea Eagles have been playing good footy and we are really looking forward to the challenge.

“We know there are a lot of Kiwis in Perth so we are hoping to have plenty of support at nib Stadium this weekend.”

On the back of an impressive performance at standoff against the Bulldogs, Ata Hingano has been named on an extended bench along with Bunty Afoa, Albert Vete, James Gavet, Manu Vatuvei, Ligi Sao, Isaiah Papalii and Mason Lino.

Solomone Kata remains unavailable for selection after being given bereavement leave last week to fly home to Tonga following the sudden death of his older brother.

Prop Sam Lisone will also miss Saturday’s clash due to a pressing family engagement.

This will be the sixth straight year the Vodafone Warriors have made the trek to Western Australia.

Last year, the Vodafone Warriors and Manly played out an epic contest in atrocious weather at nib Stadium, the Sea Eagles winning 15-14 through a Daly Cherry-Evans golden point field goal. This year, they fly into Perth on Thursday afternoon and will mix and mingle with local fans at a footy clinic alongside the Sea Eagles at nib Stadium on Friday at 1:30pm (WA time) before the two sides square off a day later at the same venue.

So ATa to come on after 60 at hooker?????

Can't argue with Kearney supercoach at the moment mate. He had Ata on the bench for the game where Foran went down injured, and then Roache on the bench for when Luke blew a gasket. Genius.

If Roache can't last 80mins, then I would put Foran in at hooker and Ata at five eight.

We deserve a win against you Beaver. It doesn't happen often enough.

A win in Perth and a win against Manly. Awesome way to head into another bye.

I'm not confident at all !! Wasn't last week either though, feel that we are due for a loss, however if certain guys form holds up we will be hard to handle, Tom T is due to explode too

Might be wrong here, but the run against you guys is unbelievable, last win back in 2013 and I think before that it may have been the Stacey comeback game ?
