NRL legend Steve Menzies is making a comeback after being named in the Manly Squad for the Auckland Nines this weekend.
The Manly veteran, who retired last year after 21 seasons playing top grade NRL and English Super League has been named in the Sea Eagles’ squad for the Nines tournament at Eden Park.
According to Fairfax Media reports, Menzies has been in private discussions with Manly about a possible one-year deal for an NRL return if the Auckland Nines experiment is successful.

I'm super pumped for the return of the Beaver! Nines is gonna rock!

Menzies can't draw anything from the haters for two reasons. First of all he's a top bloke, and secondly he only just retired. It's not like he has been out of the game for 5 years. He'll acquit himself well. I think it's great for the fans to see some old faces, provided they aren't a liability!
