The run home

From Fox sports:

10 WESTS TIGERS (18 pts, -49 +/-)

Formline: WbLLL

Remaining games: Rabbitohs (H), Bulldogs (A), Knights (A), Raiders (A), Dragons (H), Sea Eagles (H), Rabbitohs (A)

Key injuries: Chris Lawrence (TBC), Josh Reynolds (season), Mahe Fonua (round 25)

Analysis: The Tigers look to be finishing the season with a wet sail after acquiring Moses Mbye and Robbie Farah mid-year. They knocked off the Dragons in round 18 and they make a dangerous prospect for any finals-bound side on the run home. Unfortunately they run into the Rabbitohs twice … which could ruin their finals dream.

Predicted run home: LWWWLWL

Predicted finish: 9th (26 pts)

To make the top 8, realistically they need to win this week to keep in touch with 8th spot which is a tough ask ( but not impossible)...

Otherwise they will be too far behind...At least 4 possibly 6 points and bad for and against..

Its fine to predict they will win the next 3 after that ( Bulldogs, Knights, and Raiders) but this is unlikely to happen because Wests Tigers...

We’ve got buckleys. Both the away games vs raiders & knights are against teams that have dominant records against us in recent seasons. We may at best jag 1 win in the 2 games against Souths & the 2 home games v manly & saints will b difficult.I believe we will win at best 3 more games which will continue our prolonged period of not qualifying for the finals.

More importantly unless we miraculously sign a few guns (outside backs & forwards)our chances of playing finals footy in ‘19 are remote. The undeniable fact is that going into ‘19 we currently have 1 of the weakest rosters in the NRL.

I can’t see us making it, but I’d love us to still be a realistic chance until as late in the year as possible. At least keep it interesting.
