If 5 male witnesses back up the victims testimony
If not she's lying
They'll shoot people over smuggling drugs, but a terrorist who killed kids gets to live.
Seems about right
From the "Muslims are Islam's greatest victims" file:
Indonesian woman caned after adultery conviction in Aceh sharia court
Just months after two gay men were publicly caned in the Indonesian province of Aceh, a woman has received hospital treatment after receiving 100 lashes.
The 30-year-old woman, Mazidah, who goes by one name, had received the caning after being found guilty of adultery by a sharia court.
She had been charged with being in a private place in the presence of a man she was not married to.
The 34-year-old male also received 100 lashes, but did not require hospitalisation.
The public caning of the pair and a third offender, a man accused of indecent behaviour against a minor, took place in the city of Lhokseumawe south-east of the capital Banda Aceh.
Strict sharia law is in place across Aceh, but it is the first time a flogging has taken place in the city since 2006.
Thousands of residents, including children, are reported to have watched on as the punishment was delivered to the offenders on a stage outside the city's grand mosque after Friday prayers last week.
According to reports by the local press, and an account given to the ABC by a witness, at times the caning had to be stopped for each of the three offenders because they were screaming in agony.
Public canings on the rise
In May, the public caning of two gay men gained world-wide attention in what human rights groups described as a new low.
Vigilantes had found the men having sex after entering a private apartment room and reported them to authorities.
The men in the 20s each received more than 80 lashes of the cane outside a mosque in Banda Aceh.
The Jakarta-based Institute of Criminal Justice Reform has found the number of public canings in ultra-conservative Aceh has been increasing with 339 known cases last year alone.
Human Rights Watch has demanded the Indonesian Government remove sharia law in Aceh, arguing it is in breach of United Nations rights conventions.
Under sharia law, which is not in place anywhere else across the Indonesian archipelago, drinking alcohol, gambling, adultery, homosexuality and displays of affection outside of marriage are among listed crimes.
the religion of feminism
A bit surprised Yassmin isn't at least stopping over at Aceh and Riyyad on her way to the UK.
The 34-year-old male also received 100 lashes
The self titled "Australia's most hated Muslim" Is too busy on twitter; trashing the country that gave her everything, to anyone who bothers to pay attention to her attention seeking behaviour.
Another London subway explosion being investigated as a possible terror attack. No one dead it seems.
London has copped a fair bit of cultural enrichment this year.
$5 on it being a white christian male
This phone call from an every day Conservative Muslim British woman highlights the problem so well.
Every politician should have to listen to this so they understand to true nature of the problem...
there goes my $5
How cool, like Madonna or Cher
not exactly no...
There are some right effing loopy dickheads that do stuff in the name of many things, these morons that run around doing it in the name of Allah seem particularly nastly.
But purely by coincidence I have met many people that are practising Muslims of various levels and most through rugby league. Several of these I call good friends and have nothing but respect for.
I tend to distance a person from their religion, socioeconomic status etc, for me it comes down to how they are as a person. Religions and Unions have a lot in common, the basic tenet is wonderful and about "good" but people use and corrupt its application for their own purposes and quest for power.
The knifeman is believed to have shouted “Allahu Akbar” (God is Greatest) before assaulting passers-by, a source close to the investigation told AFP on condition of anonymity.
Permanent state of emergency
Well I guess they are well on their way to recreating the shitholes they admire
It seems the easiest way to reduce terrorism is to deny that a terrorist attack is terrorism and then declare that the system that allowed the individual to carry out the non-terrorist terrorist attack is fine.
Oh, and don't forget to at the same time highlight the real problem, white supremacy.
Dozens of men, including several foreigners, have been arrested in a raid of a gay sauna in Indonesia's capital, police say.
Police spokesman Argo Yuwono said the raid in downtown Jakarta on Friday (local time) would lead to seven people being charged under Indonesia's pornography law, including the sauna's owner and staffers.
They face penalties of up to 10 years in prison and fines.
Mr Yuwono said the other 51 men would be released if they were found to not be criminals or carrying drugs.
Homosexuality is not illegal in Indonesia except in Aceh province, but the country's LGBT community has come under siege recently.
Police have set up a special task force to investigate activities by gay people and a case before the country's top court is seeking to criminalise homosexual sex.
A coalition of legal reform groups condemned the raid and "arbitrary" arrests, as it did a similar raid in May when police detained 141 men for questioning.
During that incident the coalition said police violated the rights of those arrested by photographing them naked and facilitating the spread of those images on social media.

"We treated them well," Mr Yuwono said of the most recent raid.
"They came out from the scene with proper clothes and their faces were covered."
He said police were still working to identify all of the men and question witnesses.
The United Nations has previously called on Indonesian authorities to release people detained on the basis of their sexual orientation and to combat anti-gay stigma in the country.
Not very moderate of them
No it isn't... it seems the fanatics are gaining influence under the most liberal president the nation has ever had.... the most corrupt were keeping them at bay...
