Brooks for sure
Chalk one up for Brooksy.
I vote brooks
Brooks, and book him in for a few more no doubt.... f**kn overrated blower..
Brooks? He was abominable, but he hardly blew a match winning lead Carige style.
Yep. I'd agree with that nomination. Dropped the ball from the kick-off and the Eels scored from the resulting change of possession. Then just to reinforce it he did it again in the second half after the Dragons scored.
Packer did have a shocker
Will take some major derp to beat that one effort.
I think the concept of doing a 'Paul Carige' is lost on some
It's nearly been 20 years, I'm not surprised
Lol 20 years! Geez that has gone quick, remember laughing my arse off with my mates about it in year 10
Don't think anyone could ever matched up to Carige's efforts, though. That was a 'once in a lifetime' performance.
More emphasis on sound/solid first graders that just suddenly go above and beyond to shit on any chance of their side winning by means that you'll be lucky to see once in a season.
For example, jono wright drops a game sealer unmarked with the try line open, really wouldn't surprise me. One of the burgii cough it up 3 or 4 tes in a row in the play the ball when they were getting in good attaching position, yeah that happens, Cooper cronk kicks his first 3 kicks in play out on the full and throws 2 intercept tries against and the storm end up getting towelled, hang on wtf?
Well some posters around here haven't even heard of a f**ker like Jason Smith, so you can only imagine how confused they are seeing this "Weekly Paul Carige Award" thread constantly getting a run on the front page of the forum...
I think some of Manu Vatuvai's performances have come the closest, but nothing where a final is in the balance.
Always Ben Hunt
That muppet has done it time after time
Today's Panthers v Knights game where Nathan Ross makes a 70 metre run only to play the ball.......to no one!!
To be fair though, the Carige award shouldn't go to Ross. It should be awarded to any of the other 12 Knights players who didn't even bother to run with him
Separate names with a comma.
