Australia has over 90,000 abortions a year and is now the world's gayest nation.....and yet we still have the left bleating "Why is our birth rate so low?"

Australia 'world's gayest country'
23sep03
MORE than 17 per cent of Australians are involved in gay or lesbian relationships, putting the country equal first in the world for its proportion of homosexuals, according to a new worldwide survey.

The survey of sexual habits by international condom maker Durex found that together with Americans, Australians had the highest proportion of same-sex relationships.

At the other end of the scale, Vietnam recorded the lowest proportion of gay and lesbian relationships, at three per cent.

The company said Australians enjoyed a busy love life, having sex on average 125 times per year.

Considering it was an online survey, and the people who would choose to respond to this type of survey are unlikely to be representative of the general population, I wouldn't pay much attention to its results.

Did anyone see "The Fat" last night?

Someone sent in a newspapaer clipping with a preview of the 1966 garnd final. Apparently the season was agreat one for rugby league and the heading in the paper was

Gayest Grand Final Ever

On the topic (one of which god boy seems to be rather obsessed with)...

If only we could see beyond the computer screen to see the look on your catholic faces. Does this now make Australia the "sodomy" capital of the world?

Hmmm - more gay people, more sodomy - yeah I think that's about right.

with respect I think you'll find most of us leftys see a lower birth rate as a positive keeping our population and sustainable levels

Its normally the right who bleat about the need to increase our population.

As for the rest, I doubt Australia (or America) has a great deal (if any) more homosexuals per population than anywhere else in the world - simply with less persecution we have a lot more willing to stand up and be open about it.

Still if we do I can't see how its any business of anyone elses.

Here's an interesting question for you Salivor.

The American Psychological Association has always classified homosexuality & pedophila as mental disorders. In 1975, homosexuality was removed from this list.

Today, the APA is considering removing paedophilia from that list too.

Should they?

Deaths may beat birth rate
By Kate Legge
03Sep03

DEATHS could exceed births in Australia within 30 years if our fertility rate drops to European levels.

For the first time, the Australian Bureau of Statistics has assumed in its population modelling a national fertility rate of 1.4 births per Australian woman, down from about 1.75.
A 1.4 fertility rate combined with lower net migration of 70,000 a year would hasten our march towards a natural population decrease from 2029-2030.

Fertility and overseas migration have the most potential to influence the size and growth of our population. But birth rates are a more significant ingredient in determining age distribution, because we mostly draw migrants from countries experiencing similar demographic changes.

Australia's population is ageing because of declining fertility and increasing life expectancy. Under the worst-case scenario presented by the bureau yesterday, the proportion of people over 65 would increase from 13 per cent to 30 per cent by 2051, when the population would be an estimated 23 million.

Previous scenarios drafted by Treasury for the 2002 Intergenerational Report assumed that Australia's fertility rate would fall to 1.5 in 2042. But in the projections released yesterday, the ABS predicts what Australia would look like if that rate dropped to 1.4 from 2011.

Some European nations have dropped below this rate already. Fertility levels in Greece and Italy are down to 1.2 and Germany recorded 1.3 births per woman.

These are well below the rate required for population replacement.

Sorry Brook - this not about sustainability anmore - this about population replacement.

I'm not even going to warrent you a response. You like many other christians are completely out of touch with reality and the modern world. You just shelter yourself from this forum and its clear thinking. Go back and turn up the Pope because he'll be more than happy to cater to your sad view that homosexuals are deviants.

I'd be interested to see where you got your information from. I'm not really big on psychologists at any rate - I'm surprised you take any notice of what they say. People can be murderers and not have a mental disorder. I would probably back having it taken off the list for the sole reason that it may reduce the possibility od a paedophile pleading insanity when brought to trial.

Paedys are quite responsible for their actions which to me are beyond being called a mere sickness of the mind, its more of a completely selfcentred and disqusting act of utter perversion, that will probably be come supported by the next generation of perverts and lunatics in our unfortunate society.

If you had read my post you would have seen me saying the same thing (apart from the final rantings about it being supported by society)

San Francis, June 10, 2003 - Confirming LifeSite's previous warning about serious on-going efforts to legitimize adult-child sex, the American Psychiatric Association (APA) recently sponsored a symposium in which participants discussed the removal of pedophilia from the psychiatric manual of mental disorders.

Cybercast news Service reports today that Psychiatrists at the May 19 conference in San Francisco proposed removing several long-recognized categories of mental illness - including pedophilia, exhibitionism, fetishism, transvestism, voyeurism and sadomasochism - from the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM).

"Normalizing" pedophilia would have enormous implications, especially since civil laws closely follow the scientific community on social-moral matters, said Linda Ames Nicolosi, NARTH publications director.

"If pedophilia is deemed normal by psychiatrists, then how can it remain illegal?" Nicolosi asked. "It will be a tough fight to prove in the courts that it should still be against the law." Another logical question is how this development would also affect the battle against currently growing volumes of child porn?

Salivor - I am not surprised at your refusal to supply an answer to a straightforward question.

Now that we have legitimised homosexuality, legitimising pedophilia is the next step. Ditto with polygamy and bestiality. Prove me wrong.
