Time keeping - count upwards or downwards?

Yes, tackling the big issues and all that..

But.. I've come to notice that at some footy grounds, the clock counts down from 40:00 to zero, whilst at others time starts at zero on the clock, hooter sounding at 40:00


Clock goes up on Fox & Ch9..


Any idea why the variance, and what's your preference?

Mine's counting up..
