Thats all kicks as well. 18 of them

I recall 2 fargups that hit players. 2 stabs into touch. 2 bombs. One grubber repeat. Seggy at least one. So thats 8 for about 50 metres tops. There may be a couple more but Ill go with that approximation

Leaves 400/10 = 40 metres average per long kick

Sorry txta2

HAHAHAHAHAHA

He has definitely not been a noted long kicker in the past, and certainly seems to be improving in that area. If he keeps up that long kicking and has his normal good short kicking game, he will be very handy in plenty more games this year.

Chad is hopeless. He let the titans off at least 3 times with useless grubbers. Sick of him. Premiership winning half back thanks to Maloney and barba.

Townsend and Dugan were easily our best tonight. Townsend completely outplayed the up and coming star, Taylor. His short kicking was off tonight compared to normal, but normally it is excellent.

He needs to be better than that. Those grubbers were embarrassing, he should be embarrassed.

We can’t settle for just ok, he needs to be so much better than that.

Game you want to watch again but we got the win and we move forward.

We had Dugan and Sorensen injured, hoping both are very minor and no game time is missed

Chad 7/10

Yeah he kicked us the winner, and well done, but we don’t need it if he hits one conversion.

He’s so sideways in attack. The attack looks dreadful and it’s almost entirely on him. They never expect him to run so the D just slides and holds and we are so easily contained. We won’t do anything until the bloke who gets the most touches starts to square up and facilitate a power game. A couple of times Moyza fed the ball to him in second phase play and he looked utterly shocked and then killed any momentum by barking instructions rather than playing the ball. WTF?

Some of his kicks are baffling. He should’ve run Seggy onside. If he’s going to kick a spiral bomb from 12 metres behind the ruck he’s gotta chase hard.

His defence is great.

Pretty fair. And even at 7/10 with those flaws today, which I agree with, he looked better than most our players. We are definitely looking out of kilter still.

Brailey and Seggy were both good I thought. Dugan was fantastic except for one terrible drop.

Townsend just needs 80 minutes of consistency. Can’t really blame the goalkicking on him, they were tough ones.
His biggest problem is his decision making. Keeping cool under pressure. When he booted that ball over the line when he had time to find the grass behind the defensive line in broken play is a big example. Didn’t play what was in front of him like a good halfback should or indeed footballer. There were a couple of other moments but you can’t bag the guy too much. He had a super dig. His good kicks in play were really good and knocked over 2 field goals with aplomb.
He just needs to back himself more and grow in confidence more. He was the best half on the field tonight and also last week so deserves credit.

Chad is a manufactured halfback. He should have been made a hooker before he left for New Zealand like the plan was.
The resigning of Robson and some other issue stopped that and next minute he was at the warriors

He would be have great out of dummy half.

Long kicking was good for the most part. Short kicking a mixed bag. Defence very good.

Frank's pont about playing too lateral is correct. My issue with Chad is the he doesn't create anything. It's kick or shovel the ball. He doesnt create space, he takes space. The team needs more from him given the attacking deficiencies in the rest of the spine.

Great composure to kick the game winner.

If chad could learn to kick goals we wouldn’t have needed 2 field goals.

If chad could keep the pressure on instead coming up with useless grubbers we likely would have scored and won comfortably.

Wouldn’t have needed them if we took the 2 points on offer several times.

Why the change of philosophy with that?

Anyway, Round 3 Eels 14-4 win off the back of Coifs goalkicking. Round 4 Storm same, 14-4 off the back of CTs goalkicking. Last week, Panthers 26-24, 4 tries apiece. Chad outkicked Maloney. Tonight missed his conversions but got us home with his drop goals.

We are 0-8 this year if he’s not playing.

He’s at 84% for the year.

Wont get dropped. Wont have the kicking taken away.

He’s holding the team together if anything.
