Did they really pay 30mill?

Everton can't be too happy to then only end up with Valencia

He knocked Everton back

20 plus add ons over 5 years so it could end up but who knows what the add on are, Poch wanted him after his form in the Euros

he signed yesterday and we tried to finalise Isco today but he wants to stay even after we agreed a deal with RM for a fair bit, supposedly around 35mill. We dont normally pay that sort of money since Poch arrived

Sonny and Christian were a class above last night, hopefully it means the South Korean sticks around for a while, Ive always rated the bloke. Stoke were horrible though and could of been 7 or 8

He (Son) wanted to stay but was told he could leave after the Newcastle game last round last year. He got dragged at half time and was one of the scapegoats, as was Eriksen, who was also for sale but chose to stay. Poch was pretty peeved at their lack of effort in the first half of that game.

Thats why the negotiations for his (Eriksen) re-signing took so long as Poch was not a fan of his hot and cold form or attitude. He seems much more settled now he has re-signed and knows where his future is as he has been ordinary so far this season.

Very goodc away win in Moscow with 5 players unavailable. Son scores again, he is in some sublime form.

GKN made his debut and changed the game when he replaced VJ, look a brilliant pick up for us.

About as good as it gets, not 1 passenger.

That was a brilliant team effort.

Lamela's missed penalty frustrated me alot because I had a slight wager on him to score and us to score both halves(grrr), I was extremely confident we would win last night with them missing De Brynne and having a extra days rest on them. Only team left undefeated and our back 4 look better then last season. On the road for a bit now though, itll be interesting

Stat shows just how well Mauricio Pochettino drilled his Tottenham and Southampton defences

Tottenham’s hugely impressive 2-0 win over title favourites Manchester City was undoubtedly the stand-out result of the Premier League this weekend.

The north Londoners were rock solid at the back to hand Pep Guardiola his first defeat as City boss, and in doing so their manager Mauricio Pochettino set a little record of his own.

With just three goals conceded in their first seven league matches, Spurs look once again like being the hardest side to beat at the back, as they were when they challenged for the title last season.

In recent seasons, this is the best defensive record after seven games, along with that Southampton side of 2013/14…which was also managed by Pochettino.

The Argentine was one of a number of names linked with the Manchester United job before Jose Mourinho eventually got it, and if he carries on building such solid sides, he’ll continue to attract the interest of bigger clubs.
