Tui Lolohea eyes Dragons’ move if Kieran Foran’s Warriors’ contract is approved by NRL

You're dreaming mate Ben is staying at Warriors feel free to take Tui though he thinks he's a half just like Widdop does.

What do you mean by that? According to Old Timer, Widdop is not only a half but by far the best in the competition, a future immortal and the best Dragons player since Reg Gasnier. And out and out superstar by any measure. If he were able run, draw a defender and pass, a skill so rare among playmakers and NRL players in general..... he would just be so good it would be ridiculous!

Having said all that, wouldn't your gang of Bro's be crazy not to swap him for Sean Johnson?

if Tui wants a release it would be ill-advised to make him stay when he doesn't want to.

From a Business POV not really. He needs to learn more and if he wants to be an egg about the whole thing then tough luck. You honor the agreement you signed for and if he plays like mud on purpose he will get dropped to ISP. Doyle will set a dangerous precedent if he allows Tui to leave so this is a real lesson for the young lad to pull his head in. If we wants to make his mark he needs to stop being a cry baby and prove to his fans/family/himself that he can bounce back and compete (earn) his spot he wants.

Funny how he needs to "pull his head in" and the Warriors go out a sign Foran who basically still has his head up his arse.

How is it Foran didn't honour his contract and acted like an utter tool yet young Tui is supposed to possibly sit behind that clown.

No wonder people question the culture of the club.

I don't doubt that he will compete and put his head down, but we're talking about Keiran Foran and Shaun Johnson here, the NZ International halves. It's obvious that he's not going to get a starting spot in the halves ahead of those two and he won't play fullback with RTS ahead of him, so it's his right to say that he wants to move on to take up an opportunity elsewhere.
He's not being a cry baby, he's being realistic. Wasting someone like Tui on the wing will ruin him.

Because Foran is a professional and a proven No.6. Tui is not even on that level yet. How is Foran a Clown? He almost took his life mate. He is back on his feet now and having him in the squad will male Tui better than he think he is. Pull your head out of your arse? Paramatta let Foran go and didn't support him one bit with his struggles. We did simple as that. LOL@Honoring contact with Paramatta. They didn't even keep their end of the bargain and were cheating.

He has been playing multiple positions with us mate and he's still very raw and learning. Ironic how you point out wing ruining him as that has been his best position for us. He thinks he a half but many of us fans think he is not even a half's a-hole. The reality of it all is he has had his chances at FB, got outplayed by Fusitua and lost that spot fairly. Centre got outplayed by Fusitua, Ayshford, Kata. He didn't command his spot in the halves for both Club and Country. He at best will need to earn his spot by form or injuries. He will be a utlitly player or wing at best for 2017. If he pulls his head in and plays well in his desired spot which is No.6 what better way to learn than from the best that is Foran.

Just concentrate on your own dilemmas at your club Tui isn't going anywhere.

Yes wing has been his best position for the Warriors this year, but he was barely tried in the halves this year. If I could make a quick comparison, Kurt Mann has been playing wing for us when his preferred position is fullback and 5/8, he could kill it if he was given a chance there. Remember Tui is only 21, he's going to make mistakes.
How is he going to improve his skills as a 5/8 if he's playing on the wing? I'm not sure you know how First grade training works. Tui won't train with Foran at 5/8 and then the day of the game he's thrown onto the wing, that's not the way it works. If he's named on the wing, he trains on the wing. How is that improving his skills?
If he was just some average player that you seem to be making him out to be, you wouldn't be on the forum of a rival club starting a debate about it.

Yes admittedly, the coach of our club could probably turn Johnathan Thurston into a park footy player, but isn't he far better off training in the position he favours and practising his skills that way?

I'd like to address these comments as well.
Parramatta didn't want to let him go, they had to. And don't tell me they didn't support him in any way, of course they did, financially and emotional support, he has a lot of friends at that club.
Foran screwed the Eels. Yes, he was in a dark place, a lot of things came tumbling down on him all at once there's no denying that, he was sick and needed help. But you can't tell me you wouldn't be furious if your club's marquee player walked from the club for 'personal issues' and to 'take time away from the game'... Then all of a sudden only a couple of months later he's "back on his feet" (as you so eloquently put it) and signs with another club. It's seriously madness. Parramatta have every right to be furious.

Currently Tui is still is not direct enough. If he wants to be a Five-Eighth then he needs to be more direct and fix his defensive game a whole lot more. Having 2 off the cuff halves is a bad recipe for disaster hence his limited time in that spot. Foran is a direct half and will give SJ, RTS, Luke reigns on set up play. I'm not saying Tui will never become a very good player he just needs to be open to the idea it may not be in the halves that's all.

I give you BOTD on his limited time in the halves and perhaps he will get his chance again in 2017 pending on Foran being registered and Ata waitng a little longer for his chance (Though we all think Ata is our future No.6) he's even more younger than Tui so it's all a time/patience thing with these kids. They don't want to let their egos get the better of them as Doyle/Club have expressed numerous times that they are our future.

Who cares how long it took him to bounce back whether it was weeks, months, years that's irrelevant. Eels still could had said no to him leaving but they didn't. Why? Because they cheated to get him there in the first place. Oh and they screwed him around with his TPA deal so that's a pretty weak reason to use. It's not our clubs fault we saw a man down and out, then to get him back on his feet and express interest in him. It happens with all people in life such as a bad relationship then you move on to a new one same diff. The only difference our club did was support him and sign him up all legally above board. Doyle does not do brown paper bag deals like some of these scummy clubs are known for.

If Foran can get his gambling problems sorted out in NZ, that will be a good thing. How is the gambling culture in NZ? It wasn't Foran's fault or the clubs fault. They couldn't force him to stop gambling and he couldn't stop. The Warriors are of course talking the talk about wanting to keep Lolohea but if/when Foran is confirmed, they will let him go. It's not only having a player of his ability in the NSW Cup but there is a little thing called the salary cap.

I think the Warriors will win the competition next year but for the Dragons the night is the darkest right now. The dawn isn't far off so Lolohea may miss out on glory next year but maybe he will be front and centre of a great rebuild for the Dragons.
