U20s/NSW Cup

    Seems that all NSW Cups teams must have and a U20s team to compete next year

    So a lot of clubs u20s will now fall by the wayside

    Not sure how some of these 2nd Tier clubs will address these extra costs. They already struggle as it is

    Aren't the NSW Cup teams just the feeder clubs for the NRL clubs? If so wouldn't the NRL under 20s just become the feeder NSW Cup teams under 20s with the NRL clubs hopefully passing on the funding?

    No, new arrangement receives grants from NSWRL not NRL

    It then comes down to who and how fund are sourced for the rest of those NSW Cup / NSW U20 teams

    Eg Penrith and Canterbury LC might chip in

    But for Blacktown / Bears / Jets etc they have to foot the bills themselves

    Blacktown have the Workers club, Norths still have Norths LC.

    I'd go watch the NSW Cup if it wasn't the NRLs reserve grade.
