I'm not in favour of all these seeded play off draws just put them all in a pot and draw them out like that, it is terrible that Salzburg or Hapoel Tel Aviv will advance over Werder Bremen or Sampdoria. UEFA must also be loving another season of trying to flog the Bundesliga v Serie A battle, pretty predictible match up there.

Any August predictions? I don't think Inter will go back to back, Real Madrid would have to be close to favourites under Mourinho and Chelsea would be around the top contenders aswell.

^agreed.

Would be very nice to see Sampdoria make the Group Stage.

As for predictions:

*Ajax will be a surprise packet and make the quarter finals
*FC Barcelona win the final defeating Real Madrid in the semi and Chelsea in the final
*Liverpool & Arsenal eliminated in the group stage
*AC Milan to end up in some kind of Group of death

Spurs were lucky in making the final scoreline a bit more respectable.

From all reports it sounds as if they game was essentially over after half an hour. Decent result for Kyiv too.

I think it is better for Ajax as they've come away with a 1-1 draw and an away goal in the Ukraine which is a terrible place for opposition teams. Ajax in the driving seat for mine.

Auxerre seem to have done well only going down 1-0 their coach was quite pessimistic after the draw so they're still a chance.

Lol @ Spurs. They should still get home at WHL though.

England, Spain and Italy could all end up with just three teams in the CL. I'm sure that would please Platini, especially if it means seeing young boys play in the tournament.
