You might have some merit if you didn't support Trumpys every move, and but but Obama every single issue

It isn't hicksville it is an area suffering from huge problems that either didnt vote for Hillary in the numbers they voted for Obama or voted for Trump.

Pick anything Trump winning, Brexit, the issues in Europe in general, the suicide rates in America. I took 2016 as a wake up call that things are f**ked up for some people, they are pissed off and searching for answers.

They are country bumpkins mixed with suburban hicks. The metro areas are predominately African American or other minority groups.

They didn't vote for Hillary because she was/is the most unelectable candidate. They f**ked over bernie for her and paid the price.

Hillary won plenty of black voters against Bernie. She just didn't campaign at all in the midwest and gave up Ohio. Obama who is essentially Hillary would have beat Trump (look at how narrowly Trump won key states and think is Obama 3 percent a better candidate than Hillary or whatever) BUT even if Obama could have run and hid some of the cracks but liberalism is falling to bits on the right and the left.

    However, they arent hicks

Not sure why that poster is engaging in class warfare against middle
America, considering it's what gave Trump the election.

Don't you think all the odd projection of qualities that Trump doesn't even possess say a lot about modern psyche? "He is great leader!" "He'll change Washington!" "He'll bring back coal mining jobs!"

Obama had a fair bit of this "Nelson Mandela II" "The great left hope" etc. But the Trump stuff is bordering on delusional.

I'm a bit more philosophical then your frankly pretty doom and gloom view. Politics is cyclical and it the pendulum will swing back. Quite frankly it isn't great for one party to be in power for any great length of time.

I wouldnt call the left normal, but I wouldn't call the right normal either. The only normal people are the ones who sit with me somewhere in the centre.

Trump is a garbage man but it can get a lot worse than Trump if the left doesn't start offering something better than they are doing.

I am not interested in Trump

The hey man politics is just cyclic sometimes you get an orange huckster and sometimes you get a liberal is not great philosophy imo.

The centre is an illusion and claiming it 'normal' in any meaningful capacity is a bit silly seeing as how far it has shifted and no doubt will continue to shift over the years.

Yes it does shift a little this way and little that way. But thats expected. However, it is more settled than the extremes of the right and the left.
