Planning on being in the USA's North East in mid to late August so will have to keep track of the finals locations.

Stupid question first: is the home team listed first or second?

Less stupid question second: why are the North schedules so unbalanced? For example, Philly plays 3 Northeast teams, each Mid-Atlantic team once, and NOVA a second time. But Delaware plays 2 Northeast teams, each Mid-Atlantic team once, and NOVA and Bucks County a second time. I suspect field availability is the main reason, but is there a competitive reason?

Because we are a huge country with a spread out population, and this is a semipro league that cant afford the cost of regular long distance traveling.

There is no real formula to it. It was decided to have more Mid Atlantic v North East games this summer so the guys that were putting together the fixtures came up with the current schedule. It's not perfect for it to perhaps be slightly unbalanced but 3 teams from each conference make the playoffs so there is enough opportunity to get in there and you have to win your games from there.
