We don't want the Sharks

No point putting a NSW club in Qld, you might get away with putting on in WA. Wellington/NZ would take the Sharks.

Qld has 4 bids for inclusion to the NRL, it doesn't need the Sharks jumping the queue

Again the NRL are going about this all wrong.
They need to share the Sharks team between QLD and their home at Cronulla.
So you play your games against other qld teams and say the storm and warriors in Rocky, and then play all your Sydney derbies at Cronulla home ground or a bigger stadium in sydney.

Cronulla then has two areas of supporter growth. One in central Qld, and their home at Cronulla.

It helps take pressure off getting bigger crowds, because you have less games to attend, so it makes going to those games more exciting.
The NRL just cant get it right. I even read for next year they want to mess around with the video refs again, instead of just fixing the problem by bringing in the captains challenge.
They will fiddle and fiddle until the whole thing is a complete mess, when all they need to do is introduce a system the American Gridiron has proved is a sure fire winner.
Our code sucks and is run backward by dinosuars.

East Coast Titans representing Ipswich.Half matches at Suncorp remainder at GC.

Helps Titan's poor crowds on the GC.

One can come up with any combination just to put pins on the maps.

The greater south western Pirates, playing games at Perth and Adelaide.National exposure achieved at less cost.:thumn

Do titans have poor crowds? Aren't they consistently in the top half of the NRL for crowds?

I agree with the article, a relocated Sydney team would struggle in Brisbane. Perth would be more welcoming as we are desperate but still not the preferred option. Ideally the NRL will expand with two new clubs and keep, the relocation card up its sleeve for years to come when some clubs may be on the brink of disappearing and look at Adelaide and Wellington for relocations.

After expansion the NRL should
1. Fund manly to take over the whole north shore/northern beaches and play 4 games a year out of Gosford
2. Fund eels to formally adopt NT and play 2 games in Darwin plus a trial in Alice every year
3. Fund sharks to do some in Adelaide
4. Fund storm to play a game a year in Hobart
5. Fund cowboys to play a game in png

All of these clubs have to develop memberships and support agreements with state RL bodies to help, the. Grow the game to get the NRL $'s

Exactly. Everything you said except maybe Sharks.
As i mentioned, the Sharks need to merge with Rockhampton.

Adelaide needs to bring internationals and maybe even try to get a origin or all-stars game.
They are 50 years off ever having a team. They have all their eggs in the AFL basket and is why as a city they struggle.
The last city i would ever move to would be Adelaide. They are pretty backward.

The NRL needs to take more big games to Adelaide and Perth. Hopefully the World Cup can send more games there way. 2017

They now have built themselves a great big round white elephant that will sit idle most of the year while gathering dust. They should be looking for major internationals of any code to fill the sucker outside the normal season or the maintainece fees will just mount up over the next decade.

Manly will never take over the north shore.

Honestly, Parramatta or the wests tigers have more chance.

Then get one of them in. I don't agree, but it's time for the Bears bid to be given the flick and for the North Shore to be formally adopted and nurtured by another team. The Bears fans who could never bring themselves to support another team won't be around forever, the younger generations need to grow up with an NRL team working in the area (and Manly could easily be that team, given the proximity and the fact that the junior RL teams from both areas already play in the same comp).

Send the Sharkies to Perth and add a tinge of orange into their jersey? Go back to Cronulla a few times a year but re-brand into a WA-based team because QLD don't want them and Wellington is unlikely until at least 2020. Gets rid of the dying Sydney team and fills the Perth void, would it work or not?

yep dropping down to the NSW cup is a far more likely proposition ;)

In reality the development is going to put in less annual $'s than some clubs league clubs payments. It will keep you afloat but hardly a world power!

sharks are financially strong, own their own stadium and their crowds weren't too horrible for a last placed team with no coach.

there will continue to be 9 sydney teams. Growing manly across the north shore, roosters across sydney and penrith will create a solid base for RL in sydney and more easily allow expansions such as Perth, Melb 2, NZ 2 and Bris 2.
