Great to see Curtis Rona have another strong game for the roosters, scored a hat trick inc the match winner.

Curtis was the first WA Reds SG ball jnr to sign to Toyota cup, hopefully will be the first NRL first grader as well. Shows with better systems WA can and will produce quality RL players.

Good to hear.

Hopefully signs of more to come for the future...goes to show that if more money and time is invested in traditonally non RL areas they will find some good talent.

The other centre for the Roosters is Joseph Forrester and is from the Northern Territory. He is only 18 and is a having a very good season too.
In fact the entire backline have been scoring tries at will.

Tuivasa-Sheck = 12 tries
Rokolati = 13 tries
Rona = 15 tries
Forrester = 9 tries
O'Sullivan = 12 tries
Martin = 10 tries
Jacks = 10 tries

The Roosters are mad letting him go to the Cowboys. Wonder if that was anything to do with that idiot Brian Smith.

At the end of the day you can't keep them all. Rona would've been behind Moga, SKD, Leilua, RTS, Oldfield, and Dan Tupou for a wing/centre spot and behind Aubusson, Guerra, Cordner, FPN, SBW, Arona and Takirangi for a back row spot next year

Yeh saw he had signed for the cowboys. Future Tate replacement maybe?

will partner Linnett in the centres in 2013 im sure- shame the chooks couldn't keep him but there a few in front of him- would face the same situation as Mark Minichiello faced if he stayed with the Roosters- he had backrowers such as Ricketson/Toupu/Flannery/Morley/Crocker/Fletcher/Fitzgibbon etc in front of him

Probably not next year, unless Tate gets injured.

Hopefully he will get some first grade experience next year during Origin or if Tate gets injured then cement a starting spot in another season or two. He looks a good talent.

For those who don't know it is a great example of why we need an NRL team in Perth. He grew up playing Union and Force had their eye on him. When we announced we were starting an SG ball side he saw it as an opportunity to put himself in the RL shop window. Without an SG Ball team he would now be signed with the Force and wasting his talents in Union. One day hopefully we can give all talented "rugby" youth in WA and opportunity to play NRL for their home town club.

Needs to work on his defence if he wants to crack grade, his spacing and reading of the play was well off. His role in the Warriors first try was woeful, maybe a move in tighter is the go.
