That ‘new wave’ was a truly great era led by some classic Brit bands. Whenever I hear that music it takes me back to high school discos, shy girls & plenty of Andrew Ridgely ‘Wham’ haircuts.

I loved wham too lol.

Andrew Ridgeley's 1990 album The Return of Albert is quite good. Shake is a great song.

But the Era 1980_1986 was quite strong. A lot of those bands get derided, especially AFOS but they had some good pop rock tracks out there and not just I Ran.

Plenty of gems to be found.


EDIT: Of course I neglected to say that The Police and Men At Work can go in the list too.

EDIT 2 : Another song that came out probably 1988 but would fit that era well is When In Rome with The Promise. And Kon Kan's I Beg Your Pardon.
