What Changes Would You Like To See For Panthers Game???

Messages

What changes would you like to see to the Warriors line-up for the round 3 clash with the Panthers at Ericsson next Sunday?

My Team Would be:

1. Brent Webb
2. Henry Fa'afili
3. Vinnie Anderson
4. Clinton Toopi (He'll bounce back)
5. Justin Murphy
6. Lance Hohaia
7. Stacey Jones
8. Jerry Seuseu
9. Paul Dezolt
10. Richard Villasanti
11. Sione Faumuina
12. Wairangi Koopu
13. Awen Guttenbeil

Interchange
Tevita Latu
Karl TeMata
Iafeta Paleaaesina
Ali Lauitiiti

Didn't consider Martin as still don't know if he will play.

Dezolt at Hooker, Latu made too many errors off the bench. Leuluai isn't a Hooker. Dezolt is a specialist Hooker.

ando has to fine tune, the timing was out last night.
meli was just about always in front of toopi when they went to work the razzle-dazzle. meli must time his runs better.
we lost tries last night because our support players couldnt keep up with stace or latu on the break. happened heaps in the 2nd half, stace would look to pass and nobody home.

is vinnie anderson too big to play in the backs ?
i,d like to see him on the bench or even 2nd row run on and bench ali....

what about lance hohaia, we need him, he creates things, i would have him at 6 and damn do we need seuseu and villasanti...

and koopu isn't great, he didn't pass the ball once last night... lacked offloads and direction

Yea Meli need to learn to get deep on attack and charge onto the ball, he was infront several times last night and he did it against Brisbane also. He didn't do much last night IMO either. Gave away a silly penalty.

Changes I'd like to see next ..

Sticking to the coaches game plan
Experienced players giving rookies more guidance
More commitment
A better kicking game e.g. - no kicking straight to opposing fullback
and above all

A WIN

2.Henry Fa'afili -You bitch about Henry's defence,go watch Murphy play again
3.Vinnie Anderson-I'd be tempted to put him into Lock
4.Tony Martin-He's wasted playing in the halves,Under a injury cloud
5.Francis Meli
6.Thomas Leuluai
7.Stacey Jones
8.Jerry Seuseu-Under a injury cloud
9.Tevita Latu
10.Richard Villasanti-Under a injury cloud
11.Ali Lauiti'iti
12.Sione Faumuina
13.Awen Guttenbeil
Reserves
14.Evarn Tuimavave
15.Iafeta Palea'aesina
16.Karl TeMata
17.Wairangi Koopu/Matt Jobson/Paul Dezolt/Jerome Ropti/My Nana
Clinton Toopi dropped because he's simply complete crap even if Meli ran in front of him all day

Absolutely he's too slow to play in the backs Ozbash. Third season at the club, never consistently looked a threat out wide. You analyse the majority of his busts or tries, they've come from cutting back on the inside, something a second rower could and should do. You look at his biggest strength, his defensive work rate and work out of dummy half, again attributes a second rower should utilise. Ergo, second rower. I can't believe the club hasn't realised that yet.

The biggest changes they need is more fitness, and a better attitude. Both have been sadly missing.

1 Webb
2 Vatuvei - enthusiasm, they need a bolt and something to show that no one's safe from the youngsters, Fa'afili to me is the most expendable option
3 Martin
4 Toopi
5 Meli
6 Hohaia
7 Jones
13 Guttenbeil
12 Lauitiiti
11 Anderson
10 Seu Seu
9 Latu
8 Villasanti

Bench

Paleaaesina
Koopu
Faumuina
Sullivan

Injury cloud cover: If one of the props is out, Karl Te Mata into the squad. If both are still out, Matt Jobson into the squad.

I'd go with Iafetas team and i'd play Stace as second reciever to take the pressure off him which is something we've been missing since PJ has been injured.

I agree that Anderson would be an awesome second rower.

Thomas played greatly, but the right side is the 17 listed above, Lance is underated, Toopi needs a kitkat for his punishment, discapline is used in the army so it should be used in the Warriors Camp. LooLoo and Marcus Peranara travling reserve.

The Warriors will bounce back - looking at the team, I can't believe that you have lost your first two games. I still see you as genuine premiership threats.

But please just wait another week before registering your first win. ;-)

Nah, seriously, best of luck for next week. It's going to be a great game! :D

Daniel Anderson Said:

Asked how he would address the problem, the coach replied: "Changes, personnel. Bring in someone who is going to play for their jersey, play for their club and play for their mates, not play for the sake of it." SMH

In my mind he is probably pointing the finger at Toopi and Meli. I think we are really missing the defence of Monty around the ruck area and also his leadership. I think Evarn Tuimavavnae played well carting the ball foward. In fact all three guys Hame, Wairangi koopu and Evan played well off the bench. I think it is a mistake to be playing both Ali and Sione at the same time to have them bothg starting...the mix of the pack is not right when they play together. Vinnie needs to move in to the forwards but we will miss is defensive work load out wide. Having said the left hand defense combo he had with logan last year was awesome but now is no longer in play so I think it wouldn't be that big a loss.

My team assuming Villa and Tony Martin are injured

1. Brent Webb
2. Henry Fafili
3. Jerome Ropati
11.Vinnie Anderson
5. Francis Meli
6.Thomas Leuluai
7.Stacey Jones

14.Evarn Tuimavavnae
15.Sione Faumuina
16.Ephalame Lauiki
18.Manu Vatuvei Our Secret WMD

I was excited about the signing of Martin but have not been so impressed with his play so far. Still I expext him to be a handy aquisition and probably make the starting side in the next few weeks.

Man, I can't believe we were 2nd favorites to take out the championship this season, guess what guys we're dead set last on the table, Daniel Anderson has let alot of Rock Solid experince players go in the past couple of years Ivan Cleary, Kevin Campion, David Myles, Justin Morgon, Logan Swann, John Carlaw and Motu Tony. ALl experince players, I know its the salary cap but how can other teams hold on to so many great players, I do disagree with Andersons trigger shooting at some of the players listed espically Logan Swann, I rate him as the top 3 secound rowers in the World. Now all those players are gone , we don't know who the hell to replace the slackers with. DO what Anderson said "select players which are willing to play for the jersey , not just for the sake of it.

I se in the Herald that Coach Anderson has commented that Ali will move back to the LHS attack. does this mean that Sione will be on the RHS or LRO (left right out)?

Perenara "Travelling reserve" to a HOME GAME Robster. Good one.

Tookey has been told he won't be offered a contract, and if another club wants him for the rest of the year the club won't stand in his way.
