Kevin Walters has already said publicly he does not want the Titans job. It was reported on various TV news reports last night -

I have heard his management has reached out to the Titans, and if the Titans are serious they have to offer him a big offer to pry him away from the Queensland job.

Id love to see the Walker's get the gig on a 1 year contract (coincide with the end of haynes contract) and then re-assess

Actually the Walker Brothers were mention in a question to the panellists on NRL 360 last night. Paul Kent and Ben Ikin were asked by viewer if the Walker Brothers should take over the Warriors coaching job. Kent and Ikin suggested they thought the Walkers brothers were a bad fit due to the Warriors roster, and thought they would be more ideal to take over the Titans job.

Yeah they said the Warriors are too undisciplined for the Walkers.

Geoff Toovey has degraded himself by sticking with soon to be relegated again (to 3rd division) Bradford.

But I guess he figures that he can get lucrative work as an accountant in Bradford.

If the Titans were in any sort of a position of stability, Walters would be a great candidate.. he's got the QRL job though which is a much easier coaching gig, does his media work, no stress, well paid.. why would he risk it all to coach the Titans?

They need an experienced hard head who knows how to get the best out of players and no one in that list fits the bill, I expect a lean period for the Titans (at least until Hayne goes anyway)

Because Kevin Walters wants to be a NRL coach this has been stated by Darren Lockyer, he also would be able to based in Queensland his home state. There are only 16 jobs and two based in south east Queensland, and Walters market value has gone through the roof since state of origin this year and now is best the time to capitalize when he is in great demand. People are forgetting NSW were hot favorites after game 1, Walters had to make a lot of changes to manage the team. People suggesting Queensland were always shoe in to win the series this year and Walters was on cruise control are re-writing history.

Has to be either Brennan for common sense to prevail or the Walker Bros for trick-or-treat . . . let's move on ffs, try something different

Walker Brothers either crash or crash through, Brennan is untried as a first grade coach hardly tempting options for a Titans franchise that is desperately looking for stability.

I also have heard:

Kevin Walter as head coach with Mal Meninga overseeing the football department.

You don't think Green/Cowboys set a precedent adequate enough for taking a chance on an untried coach?

Green wasn't untried, what he had Wynnum doing in the QLD Cup was plenty enough to suggest he had what it took to make it in the NRL

I just think the timing for a newcomer stinks. Titans have been through a lot of turmoil there is a sense they don't have a lot leverage to take a gamble because they need someone who can produce a winner. The need to attract sponsors, the need to get bigger crowds, the need to find local ownership.

I don't think dealing with Hayne will be a problem though, or putting him into line. He's in contract year next year, he comes in out of shape and produces another dud year he will be in the NRL scrap heap will be signed by a club at a bargain base price.

Who ever ends up head coach
Walters?
Lamb?
Walker bros?

I would love to see mel head of football department. Afigure like Mel with his leadership and Guidance would be exactly what's needed on the GC.
