10+ years ago I made this classic off-season thread:

    http://forums.leagueunlimited.com/t...r-born-in-the-90s-to-play-first-grade.186414/

    I'm back with the sequel.

Unfortunately the bland, boring and outright useless Andrew McCullough was the first player born in the 90's to play first grade, so a massive anticlimax there. Could the first player of the new millennium be a future great unlike McCullough? Only time will tell.

So LU community, who will be the first player born after Dec 31st 1999 to play NRL?

I'm tipping his first name will be Jayden, Brayden, Hayden or Kayden.

Is there a rule on the minimum age for a player to make their debut in FG?

Yes it is 18 years old nowadays. From memory Stone Mata’utia had to wait for his 18th birthday to make his debut

I doubt the NRL will register f**kin's contract, too much past misdemeanors.

Who ever it is I am sure Rothfield will unfairly proclaim him as the next Sonny Bill or Israel Folau.

If there hasn't already been a player who was born after 1st Jan 2000 that we are not aware of in another part of the world, maybe a player will come from the U 18's S.G. Ball comp.

So it happened this week, and it was David Fifita (and not the Dewsbury Ram either). No surprises that it was the attention seeking Broncos again. Let's hope he turns out to be better than Origin failure, Andrew McCollough.
