Why rugby players strap there wrists?

Ive noticed alot of rugby players put tape around there wrists but im reading so many reasons why they do it. Is there any 1 reason they do it?

Ive heard many reasons for example, more stabilisation, to help see there hands better, to tackle better, to hide there energy bracelets, for the look, etc, everybody has there own reasons.

Most responses i have got in the strapping around wrists help support the hands while tackling etc

If you look closely most of them have written on the strapping:

There = Location
Their = Ownership​

It can also help to prevent the hands getting bent back too far when being tackled/falling to the ground etc

I thought they had L and R on them, dependent on which wrist it is obviously.
