Nightingale dragged DCE away from being able to get back to the play the ball, at this point the winger was already moving infield to take the hit up, so there was obvsiouly communication with DCE saying he's got dummy half.

Umm no. They sent it up to check if Widdop was square. Another one commenting who clearly didn't actually watch it.

And even if he was 'dragged away' why didn't the bloke playing the ball wait until there was another dummy half before playing it?

Can't impede a defender getting back onside. That's the first offence. What if there was a dummy half and they ran at the gap created by DCE pushing a defender out of play? You think that should be play on?
