Will USA Rugby League clubs pick up college footballers?

Im sure they will.

RL is focused on running, Union is focused on scrums. College footballers are clearly more suited to our game and they will have some good opportunities. Union will probaby start picking up shitty UFC fighters soon.

A lot of ex American footballers already come across to play in the USARL. Ultimately what they have in fitness lacks in basic skills. That's to be expected though, when they haven't been training for it their whole lives as many pro league players do.

Carlin Isles is the perfect example of an elite athlete being held back by a lack of rugby fundamentals.

I think the AF players would be fairly well suited to Prop and wing.

Everything else needs a bit more of a tactical head, but those 2 can get away with "catch and run straight"...
