What sort of upgrade did he get?
He was on 300k, surely it was raised with others trying to poach him.

Haven't read dollars, it just said 3 additional years - hoping that means this year plus 3 more. He is only 22

That's good news, always felt that he would stay. The last thing we need is another player leaving and biting us on the bum like Andrew Fifita.

Was never really in doubt. Local junior, loves the club and the area. Even so it's great news to have it officially!

honestly money doesn't really matter. 1# with Benji out surely we have some wriggle room. 2# with salary cap rising and no signings we should have more room 3# we needed to keep him and he is worth every penny.

Plus Blair is off contract at the end of this year I think? He will have to take a massive pay cut to stay surely...

Damn - was hoping we would have some money free at the end of the year. Blair is an average player, it's not his fault we were stupid enough to pay him overs. For a modest contract he would be fine playing in the middle.

What compounded the Blair signing even more was that we released Gibbs and Fifita to accommodate him, he has never lived up to the hype surrounding his signing, and yes I agree it's not his fault that WT paid him sh*t loads more than what he is worth!

So true mate , while ever Fifita is playing NRL ill never get over the fact he should have been with us for a very modest fee and for the long term ,, we needed props and still probably do so that makes it even harder to swallow..... f**k YOU SHEENS!!

And before people start singing about Fifitas attitude problem, laziness etc I still think its up to the coach to get the most out of his players. John Lang was the prime example of that, not the most ability as a coach but could get the team to play for him both at Cronulla and Penrith, particularly knew how to get the most out of the islanders. If Sheens had even 10% of Lang's people skills we might have had this Fifita killing it for us instead of slaying us.

Thank f**k for that

No Ronald can get back to his bread and butter signings like Peter Lewis, J Lo, Slammin Sam & Co

Poor Corey Patterson, Ronald thought he was resigning Chris
