    And so it begins..

"While the majority always win, the majority are not always right. This is a shameful day for our nation. The ABC are of course talking about nothing else.
The vindictive persecution of the NO voters is about to begin in earnest"

    Where is that from?

FFS. Persecution of no voters? What form do we think this persecution will take? Their views are now as irrelevant as they should have always been. That is to say, they're not worth persecuting.

Still 20% of eligible voters didn't even bother sending in their vote.

80% turnout for a voluntary vote is pretty awesome.

Despite all their grumbling about evil trump only like half of the yanks managed to drag their ass to a voting booth

It's is good Danish but 20% is still a lot of votes there.

Based on the federal election in 2016, the voter turn out for Compulsory election is 90%. Of those a further 5% had an informal vote (approx 85% formal vote)
So 80% for this poll appears pretty high

    http://results.aec.gov.au/20499/Website/HouseStateFirstPrefsByParty-20499-NAT.htm

So other examples for non-compulsary voting:
UK election 2015: 66% (big increase over previous)
    Scotish Referendum: 85%
    Brexit: 72%
    Irish SSM referendum: 61%
    Last US election: 58%

doesn't it lead to a 99.98% statistical confidence with the current turnout?

I'm surprised nearly 80% could be arsed responding. I thought we'd be particularly lazy on this.

It depends on whether or not the majority voted with there heart or there brain . If you vote with your heart then there is a good chance you will get it it wrong. If you voted with your brain , then it all depends on how well educated you are on the subject.

I’m getting very concerned guys. Since the announcement, I haven’t had any gay feels in my body yet

    Should I be concerned?
