Has anyone checked in on the bakers?
And so it begins..
"While the majority always win, the majority are not always right. This is a shameful day for our nation. The ABC are of course talking about nothing else.
The vindictive persecution of the NO voters is about to begin in earnest"
I was surprised Newcastle was so high then I remembered we're a hipster town now
Where is that from?
FFS. Persecution of no voters? What form do we think this persecution will take? Their views are now as irrelevant as they should have always been. That is to say, they're not worth persecuting.
Candle stick makers
An excellent result. I only wish we could have had this more than 12 months ago
With far less expense...
Still 20% of eligible voters didn't even bother sending in their vote.
Probs more as some would have sent in multiples that were sent to their house.
80% turnout for a voluntary vote is pretty awesome.
Despite all their grumbling about evil trump only like half of the yanks managed to drag their ass to a voting booth
80 percent turn out is outstanding tbh
It's is good Danish but 20% is still a lot of votes there.
well if you don't participate in the democratic process can you really complain that much when things don't go your way?
Based on the federal election in 2016, the voter turn out for Compulsory election is 90%. Of those a further 5% had an informal vote (approx 85% formal vote)
So 80% for this poll appears pretty high
So other examples for non-compulsary voting:
UK election 2015: 66% (big increase over previous)
Scotish Referendum: 85%
Irish SSM referendum: 61%
Last US election: 58%
doesn't it lead to a 99.98% statistical confidence with the current turnout?
I'm surprised nearly 80% could be arsed responding. I thought we'd be particularly lazy on this.
I'm still flabbergasted that the whole thing costed the tax payer $120 million incredible.
It depends on whether or not the majority voted with there heart or there brain . If you vote with your heart then there is a good chance you will get it it wrong. If you voted with your brain , then it all depends on how well educated you are on the subject.
I’m getting very concerned guys. Since the announcement, I haven’t had any gay feels in my body yet
Should I be concerned?
