Yellow Cards in The Cup

Anyone finding it a bit of an anti-climax atm ? Holland vs Argentina would be HUGE, but Holland is resting 6 players and Argentina 4. Bah Humbug !!

Same with most other good nations as well.

What the hell is the point ? Go back to the days where you get a Yellow card, and if you dont foul again in the next game, its wiped. Wouldnt that be for the betterment of the game ? Atm, its the referees who decide what team we see in any game. And believe me, thats no good at all.

Both teams would beat both Portugal and Angola so it makes no difference to them who they'll meet.

The yellow cards are ridiculous.

This always happens in the group stages - then when it comes to the knockout rounds they'll stop.

Pathetic.

why would they have to rest players? yellow cards don't get taken over to the finals.. :|

the netherlands vs argentina should have been the match of the tournie in the group stages.. with rested players it'll probably be czech republic vs italy.

they would rest the players anyway. give them a good few days off before they get down to the business end of the competition where they will need all players fit and firing.

just one of those things in any tournament that is squeezed into a comparibly short space of time.
