England will rip any of those sides a new arsehole.

And what?? So you should, you have four times the players NZ does plus you have 10 more professional teams plus another 6 or 7 semi professional teams more than NZ.

NZ does bloody well for the amount of Professional players they have playing the game.

Who cares Australia are going to win the World Cup any way. I wouldnt be suprised if they suspend the betting soon.

Leuluai???????

He better not even make the final train on squad. He is God awful. Worst Half to ever play International footy.

Oh come on...

Who then...??

Leuluai is paid well to play in that position in the ESL..

He will be coached by the Assistant coach to the benchmark team in the NRL plus Wayne Bennett and in some way coached or assisted by the last half back to win a series against the 'roos, Stacey Jones...

I think personally that Marshall should be 7 and someone like Roberts or Ropati at 6, but it appears it is the general consensus that Marshall is a 6 and that is it...

So New Zealand has a choice at 7. Marshall or Leuluai...

Take ur pick...

please.

Leuluai at test level = FAIL

2003 vs Australia...he killed them. He needs a decent number 6 to take all the pressure off him. I think the Kiwis should give him a chance and the coach has already said they will use him this year.

Fien is not the answer to New Zealands woes, he is merely a utility player who has been average for the warriors this year.

that was one game in 03.

i'd take Leuluai over Ben Roberts though.

True. But the sad thing is, apart from maybe moving Marshall to half, he's still a better option than Leuluai, Roberts or any other contender.

My Team:

1. Webb
2. Inu
3. Soliola
4. Matai
5. Vatuvei
6. Marshall
7. Leulauai
8. Lima
9. Luke
10. Cayless
11. Mannering
12. Fa’alogo
13. Smith

14. Iosefa / Halatau
15. Manu
16. Blair
17. Sa
18. Rapira

19. Halatau / Iosefa
20. Hohaia
21. Nightingale
22. Matulino
23. Harrison
24. Fraser Anderson
25. Greg Eastwood
26. Moimoi / Perrett

I think that will be the kiwi squad obviously you can make slight changes and many of these selection are pending form, fitness etc.

I would be tempted to play Nightingale at fullback. He is safe as and runs the ball harder than perrett, inu or webb. That depends on what the style of footy being played is like.

I like Inu on the wing – full of class but defensively has been crap this year. Strong pairing of soliola and matai offer plenty of punch in defense.

Utlimately we have the All Golds Vs NZ maori game to utilise it as a trial game. Fringe selections such as Matulino, Harrison, Manu, Moimoi and Iosefa – could all press their cases.

Can NZ do without Roberts's kicking game though?

They achieved greatness in 2005 playing effectively one play-maker with Vagana operating as a support player. Could they do the same with Benji as the general and Roberts there as a marginalised play-maker but kicker-in-chief, with the mandate of eyeing up the game tactically and concentrating on tactical kicking?
