We're a bit short on forwards I think .... maybe Matt Scott, Jacob Lillyman, Ben Ross and Corey Parker can get into the mix but that's about us. Backline is awesome and we've got some great back up.

Bell is getting paste it IMO and Tate or even Tonga should be in the team.

Mick Crocker comes back either this week or next week ... he'll be a certainty if fit. And don't discount Ben Hannant who is now the forward leader at the Broncos.

Here's a smokey for ya ... Wendall Sailor for a place on the bench. Strike players who can play in the back and forwards (eg Darren Smith, Tonie Carroll) are thin on the ground and Sailor could fit that role perfectly.

He should be fresh.

Eric Grothe shouldn't get another rep jersey for the rest of his career, the guy just doesn't give a crap about those sorts of things.

Peter Wallace would now be the clear front runner for the Blues number 7 jersey on current form.

spot on.
he is miles ahead of mullen and carney right now who have been pretty ordinary to start the season imo.

Keep your grubby hands off him. We were hoping for a less than usual origin player contribution at the Broncos this year. :x

Farah is the first player picked in my team and will be directing the play.

Laffranchi should have been the first backrower picked last year and goes straight into my run on side.

Kimmorely gets the job at half because of his strong kick chase and combination with Bird. I am not expecting great flair from him but given Farah, Gallen, Mateo and Bird are all creative players he doesn't need any.

I have slected El Marri at this present time but hopefully someone else is in good enough form come SOO to warrant selection. Grothe looked a weekness in defence last night.

It might be a big call to some, giving Cronk a run, but I am sure he is the best option. He combines well with Smith and I see the team running more effectively with him at half.

Carroll's form may not warrant selection but he always produces a tough effort at origin level and takes alot of pressure off Lockyer in defence.

***In reality QLD are probably going to stick with Thurston and this will be their downfall.

Thurston is a very dominate player and needs to run the game or he loses his effectiveness. Murray was very kind last year by sending most of the traffic at Lockyer despite the fact Thurston was controlling the play.

Bellamy is no mug and will send attack towards Thurston all day. He is a liability in defence so this is a good tactic but it will also tier him out. I have grave doubts Thurston can handel this increased workload and still produce the level of play from last series.

Thurston has previously shown an inability to link well with Lockyer and Smith when taking a back seat so I expect a seriouse reduction in the effectivness from the halves this series.
